The most improved Miami Dolphins player this offseason is

Boom. This is some of the best news I've read in a long time.

Armondo, you really wrote a good article this time. Soooo much detail about why and how Parker has improved. So much insight. This is an extremely insightful article. Thanks Armondo! Well done!

As to the substance of the article ... if it is true, then this bodes very very well for Tannehill and the Miami Dolphins. Game 1 of the Gase regime ... he sends a message to two of our most talented youngsters, Ajayi and Parker. Less than 1 year later, maybe Gase has both of them performing up to their potential. Yet another reason why we are 100% behind Adam Gase.

I've been singing Parker's praises for a long time. I've been very high on his potential. But seeing him translate that into production will be fantastic to watch. Parker's ceiling is very high.

Parker comes into his own + our o line stays relatively healthy = Top 5 offense, 11-5 record.

Julius Thomas is the man who can take this offense to "new heights".

TE is the one element of our offense we've never seen truly blossom. And mysteriously overlooked for decades. Anyone in doubt needs to turn back the clock and recap the news reports and limited practice/preseason reps that came from Dustin Keller's brief time with us. Keller revealed an element to Tannehill's game that was mostly overlooked. And Tannehill immediately clicked with Keller. So much so, there was a growing excitement to see them on the field.

RT's ability to drop a pass in precise spots and thread small windows has often been challenged by some and compared to Marino by others. RT has shown he enjoys working the middle of the field over the years with Gibson, Fasano, Landry and others. The few glimpses we had of Keller showed a different element of RT's working the middle.

Parker will definitely add a new dimension to our attack. But one we have seen from time to time over the years.

Thomas is the real wildcard. If he re-dedicates himself, we suddenly have a game changing weapon for the entire offense. A new dimension that opens up bigger running lanes and increases pass protection by slowing down the rush.

I have full confidence RT will take another step this year. But I think it's been there the whole time; just ignored.

Imagine if they can manage to get another 100 snaps on offense (not counting 4th downs). Last year it was something like 882 with 405 rushing and 477 passing.

1000 offensive snaps. 500 rushing and 500 passing would be awesome.

Now imagine all of the weapons having success among their best seasons or reaching their potential.

Landry: 1100/5
Parker: 1000/10
Stills: 900/9
Thomas: 700/12

3,700 yards and 36 TD's for receivers.

Ajayi 300 rushes for 1400 yards/10 td
Drake and Williams another 100 for 500 yards and 15.

Easiest way to 1000 snaps on o...tempo

I fully believe that gase has built this d with an eye towards getting leads and snuffing out the opposition. Those weren't coach speak words. Drafting guys like Charles Harris as sub edge and game closer types even back that up. If we can get leads and force teams to be one dimensional that kid and wake will get to the qb.

Not to mention the lack of emphasis at guard. Best way to get by with serviceable at guard is tempo. Miami seems to want the pivot and tackles to be the catalyst up front their actions say as much.

Ryan Tannehill is my answer. Why? I believe that our defense will dominate in 2017-18, which means that the offense will have the ball (plus the clock) for a good duration. Ryan will have ample opportunities to put the ball in the end zone or red zone for kicker. (Defense wins games.)

I'd like to believe Parker has both matured and grown (transformed) into a HARD WORKING PRO but... One day at a time with this dude.

He has to show up and get it done day in and day out like Landry before we can make any heroic predictions.

My opinion. Of course.

It would be great to have 2 alpha recievers like a Clayton and Duper again. Throw in Stiils, Ajayi and hopefully some decent tight end play and the field will really open up for us. Could very well happen.

What makes you believe that? Mere talent? Scheme?

In a word, time.

If our defense plays lights out, Ryan will have the ball more often. Captain will be granted more opportunity to move the offense; the opposing defense will tire out fast (little rest), and Parker, Ajayi and the rest of our offensive guns will make Ryan look like the most improved player.

At least the potential exists for such a hopeful outlook to unfold this season.

The Draft selections gives us the mindset of the FO: Defense. If is indeed the case; I am sure it is, and things play out as they should on the field Defensively speaking, Ryan will be, or appear as, the MIP In 2017-18.

I think a mixture of tempo and ball control will be effective. With any luck (or a miracle), Pouncey will go a long way in helping this o-line and the running game. The middle 3 may not be all-league but they are all set up to have decent years and establish a more dominant run game that isn't predicated on Ajayi breaking an insane amount of tackles to get yards. Not to mention an improved run game off tackle with Tunsil and a more comfortable J. James.

I agree that Parker never had veteran guidance, but I doubt Wallace would have provided any. In fact, it probably would have been worse

yeah I think tunsil is gonna be a terrific in the run game left tackle. that year at guard should really have him more prepared in that regard...I could see a similar level of quality of play there as trent Williams...with maybe a little less thump

I wouldn't say dominate ,but you have to admit we've gotten more talented.

I'd argue just the progression of some of the younger players and getting injured players back will prop up our D up out of the cellar.

I also believe the guys we added are going to be big contributors to our D.

I think we did a very good job in filling holes.
