Armando: Miami Dolphins most important player for 2017 success is Jay Ajayi

Jay's like King Midas, as I was told.
Everything that he touches, turns to gold...

I agree with SOS....the coaching and adjustments are what allows our team to flourish...we don't have notable superstars that can and have taken the game over ...players that MUST be contained (at least) or stopped cold in order to beat us....we do have a good group of players and talent that, when used correctly, can produce big time results....

Hats off to Gase for knowing this and game planning to the weaknesses of the opponent...THEN,,,hats off to the players who can actually execute and win

I do believe though....the running game is our friend and has to be our offensive blueprint ....our identity....when it works our receiving corps is going to be tough to stop

Well Armando had a great article just the other day. This isn't it. I doubt many people agree that Ajayi is our most important player. But, I'm quite happy to have the J-Train running for us. If Armando had focused on how Ajayi was improving or prepared for this season, I think he could have had a better article. His DeVante Parker article was very insightful. This one offers little new info.

But, I'm excited to see Ajayi running behind Asiata and a healthy Pouncey for an entire season. If we get that, and it looks anything like I'm imagining it will, then we will have a dependable ground game. I'm excited to see it.

I'm excited too however only problem is Mr. Glass isn't healthy, again.

Well, Miami was on its way to a 2-5 win season before Ajayi broke out, so I have a hard time disagreeing completely, BUT for Miami to take that next step, competing in the playoffs, Tannehill has to take them there.

He makes the argument that the offense didn't lose a step after Tannehill went out, but I'm pretty sure Moore faced two brutal defenses in his games.

Amazing how quickly the old sentiment of "RB's are a dime a dozen" has dissipated from around here. Now all of a sudden we not only have one that some deem imperative to the overall team's success but he's also the MVP. Interesting.

Ajayi is pretty important to the team in the sense that we were a soft ass finesse passing team until Gase and Christensen decided to let him go knock people flat on their asses.

I don't entirely disagree with Armando. Jay Ajayi's physical running added a sorely needed shot of toughness to the Miami Dolphins.

Maybe but with the right line (Dallas) I think even C.J. Spiller rushes for 1200 yards.

It's all in context. Great back plus great line equal elite running game. Great line plus average back equals OK running game and vise versa.

I still wouldn't overpay for a RB these days.

Wrong again Armando

I agree with you here. My post was more one of irony at the change of opinion now in favor of a fan favorite. Lamar Miller had a very similar career with us in terms of yards per carry as a different type of runner but just wasn't given the opportunity to excel under a putrid run/pass unbalance with coaching tendencies that strayed from the running game after halftime. Was just pointing out the inconsistencies in some now hailing that the RB is the most important catalyst.

again with the running back thing... I guess not enough people agreed with him last week...

this team is not that bad.. ajayi, juice wake and suh make this team work. if they get thill17 to play at high level... they may give new England run for their money.... if not I would go k.c route and draft qb for future....

RT is playing at a high lvl! What more do you want? He cant play all 11 positions.

That and we really did have a shity line during his time here. I liked Miller to be honest. He wasn't Ricky Williams but then again I don't think Ajay is yet either.

One good season does not equal a great back. Potential is just that until you make it reality. String three together back to back to back and then I'll be more apt to heap the career praise on you.
