. “He’s determined,” running back Jay Ajayi said today. “Knowing that he’s a competitor and him not being able to be out there to finish the season for us, it feels like he has something to prove this offseason and he’s really working hard out there. It’s been really great to be out there throwing and catching the ball with him. I think he’s going to have a great year for us.”

He was on one hell of a roll last season after the entire team's shaky start. I'm excited as **** for how well I think Tannehill is going to perform this season. I actually think he has an elite level ceiling. Why not? He's proven that he can make absolutely every throw in any window.

It doesn't matter what Tannehill does short of winning a SB.

This is definitely a no excuse year with the talent around him and Gase coaching him another year.

Winston is apparently a top #57 player in the NFL with 28td and 18 ints while Tannehill gets treated like he's never learned how to throw a football lol

He had 27 and 12 in 2014 yet gets treated like "is this the year?"

He had a 93.5 QB rating last year. That's a more than respectable rating.

I hope he tears the league apart and gains some much earned respect.

Tannehill has 106 tds and 66 ints with a 63 completion % lol That's not a bad career at all.

I'll never understand how he gets so overlooked. It's very annoying at this point.

He's not Peyton Manning but he's damn sure not Ryan Leaf like the NFL acts.

I've said it a million times already and I'll say it again, I love the kid and I think he's vastly underrated even by a lot of Dolphins fans. It's the easier position to hate on. Especially from fans of teams without a legit QB.

I wish people would pay more attention to his play. I find myself infuriated at times with people who say things to me "when are the Dolphins going to get a QB" and I have to restrain myself from knocking their teeth out.

It's natural for fans to hate on other teams and their QB's because frankly no one wants anyone else to be any good because that's one more team they have to compete with. It seems like the longer people can go without giving respect to another team's QB the better they feel about themselves. I guess that's just part of the process.

While Tannehill has proven to me that he's exactly the kind of guy I am thrilled to have playing QB for my team, it's time for him to shut up all the critics with a monster year.

He's ready to do that and so is the rest of the team.

Mike Pouncey is the key to so much of our hopes for 2017.

I agree with most of the comments on the board. Look at all the dookie staff and philosophies he's had to work with as well. I think this is the year all the haters will be eating crow. If our line stays healthy, watch out for this offense.

Yup, it's funny that people think he's not good enough, solely based on the win/losses. It's like they think he can just win by himself.

Tannehill is a veteran now. I expect him to have a season consistent with what he did from game 6 onward last year. If he does that, it will be by far his best season of his career. He knows the offense. He returns all of his WR's and RB's. He has some shuffling along the OL, but it looks to be at least as good as last year. He has 2 new TE's but he's played with Fasano before, so really, there's only 1 new part, and if he's healthy, Julius Thomas should be an upgrade providing a seam threat. Tannehill is poised for a tremendous season.

Last year he was 3rd highest completion percentage inside the red zone. He was the #1 rated QB inside the red zone. We didn't get inside the red zone much in the first 5 games, so that was built on his performance after he learned the offense. I'm expecting more of that.

Determined ... good. Out to prove himself ... good. Now it's time to just do it.

I totally agree.

I find it ridiculous that someone who brings his team to the playoffs and has a 93.5 QB rating yet gets questioned year after year whether he's even a competent QB.

Or should we start Matt Moore? lol

Are these people serious?

Sorry but I'm still in awe that Jameis Winston is considered a top QB by his peers (friends)

Pretty much agree this is a pivotal season to put up or shut up. The kid has true grit regardless.

Ryan is vet now.... no excused play ball. the better you are. the better the dolphins will be. make dolphins great again.. if not I would go kc route. draft young qb for future....

He's better than Kirk Cousins and Cousins inexplicably made the top 100 list
