First OTA open to the media - twitter updates

Omar is the only reporter to make a single negative comment about anything related to DeVante Parker this entire offseason. Everything else has been high praise.

He's not afraid to go against the grain that's for sure...to a fault. That said i really don't care about Omar's opinions, just grateful to get some play by play, from all these guys.

There's so many things on my mind I want to write about!! lol

Thank you GOD for the Football Season!!

PHINS UP to a NEW SEASON!!!!

Blomar doesn't understand WTF he's looking at on the field. Plain & Simple. His criticisms and even praises never align to what is actually going on. He is incredibly unknowledgeable about football. A pretender and hack who's sole goal is clicks via controversy.

Dude, there's so much Omar idiocy I'm beyond shocked his paper didn't move on.

He really is the most pessimistic reporter out there.

We should want a objective reporter but my lord!!

Charles Harris and Laremy Tunsil are two guys I think will be battling it out for years...

I know many people think we overpaid for Branch (and we may have), but I think he's a real leader.

I think our FO didn't just see his ability but also his mindset.

He's going to mentor Harris so much he'll be out of a job lol

Great problem to have!!!

This season feels different boys!!

We're super talented IMO!!

This idea that Maxwell shut down Brown is a little overblown. Did Maxwell play well against him when they lined up from across from each other? Yes. But Maxwell is strictly a LCB and we played a lot of zone. Props to Maxwell for doing well in press and doing a good job of maintaining outside leverage so AB didn't fly up the sidelines like he did in the postseason. But this whole notion that somehow Maxwell shadowed and shut down Brown for the entire game needs to be put to rest.

I think you're missing his point. He's not saying Maxwell shadowed Brown all over the field. All he's saying is Maxwell did his job when Brown was on his side of the field. When Brown lined up on his side, Maxwell held Brown to 3 catches for 23 yards on five total targets. I will take that stat line vs. Pitt EVERY game. I remember one play Maxwell shadowed Brown on a crossing route and knocked away a pass in the middle of the field. You can't deny, he had an excellent game that day.

Maxwell recorded a career best four pass breakups with two in the last quarter. Link below...

I'm not missing the point. I hear all the time around here that Maxwell shut down AB. Shadowing a player means you're marking him or following him wherever he goes all game. The instance you brought up on a crossing route is simply an example of one of the times we played man, or pattern match coverage.

I thought Xavien was amazing his rookie year.

That's a tough transition for any CB.

That draft could be the best one we've had in many years with Tunsil, Howard, and Drake.

I truly think Howard is going to be star sooner than later.

He's big, fast, agile, tough, can tackle, and uses his size well.

I'm starting to think we are close in our backfield personnel wise.

We can do this properly in future :)
