Here's footage of the game that Louis Tee mentioned in his analysis of Raekwon.
The play that impressed Tee is at the :46 mark where he blows up the FB. It certainly was awesome display of power at the POA, but with Mcmillian being the force defender he should have attacked the 2nd level blocker on the playside and squeezed the gap from the outside-in. He instead attacked with his outside shoulder from the inside and was therefore part of the reason the RB was able to gain the yardage he did on that particular strongside run despite what was said in the video.
In limited and short time, you can also view Raekwon's ability to stack and shed lineman at marks :23 & :30, and his ability to quickly get to the edge by taking the proper angle, getting outside the blocker, and making the tackle at :38.
That play at :46 stopped me in my tracks before I read your comments. McMillan had an inside-out angle toward the RB and just blew up the FB, really impressive. The right CB (I think it's #8 Gareon Conley) had a shot at making the tackle as the receiver he was covering dragged over the short middle, but he was stifled by a particularly weak, T-Rex caliber stiff arm. Basically, Conley whiffed on the tackle and it wasn't pretty, not one for his highlight reel. So McMillan destroyed the fullback at the LOS, Conley embarrassed himself trying to make the tackle and who really got owned and was at fault on that play imo was RDE #11 Jalyn Holmes. Holmes was physically dominated by LT Ryan Ramczyk in text book style, turned inside out beautifully and directed away from the RB who was able to make the big play. Heck of a run by the RB, outstanding block by Ramczyk and just a well designed play from Wisconsin. But if Conley didn't whiff on the tackle it's a gain for a few yards and Holmes was shut out of the play by Ramczyk in textbook fashion. Holmes was the major culprit, if you look at the film the RB went right over the turf that he occupied in his 4 point stance before Ramczyk turned him inside out and destroyed him. If I'm scouting players from that play I'm thinking:
1. Ryan Ramczyk is a very good football player
2. Wow, I'd really like to have a powerful and active ILB like Raekwon McMillan on my team
3. How did that RB Corey Clement go undrafted? The Eagles got themselves a steal
4. Buyer beware on Jalyn Holmes in the 2018 draft
4. It's a good thing that Gareon Conley can cover because he can't tackle worth a damn.
