The Football thread - the version that actually uses a ball and feet

Jesus ****ing christ. Is this not just a tantrum afterall? Id love it, but id be bloody shocked

Meh at this point more concered this Ronaldo stuff will have a negative impact on the Morata deal. Robaldo was never likely to leave, but it could still torpedo our new striker... which would be more than a little frustrating

Looks like we are set to sign Matic from Chelsea. Bit meh but got to trust Jose to know what his system needs I suppose

Looks like Rooney is off to Everton on a free.

Decent captain, great player, all time top goal scorer.... but I can find no warmth in my heart for Wayne Rooney - he means much less to me than Ander Herrera does. Rooneys actions alienated him from many United fans long ago. Its sad really

The Borini move was a cheap move for a squad player. One thing Milan has lacked in any sort of offensive weapons off the bench. He's being brought in to play mostly Cup games and try to be a spark off the bench. But in past years he would be touted as our top signing but this year we've signed...

Matteo Mussachio, Ricardo Rodriguez, Andre Silva, Franck Kessie, and Hakan Calhonglu all players in their 20's. Also working to finish Andrea Conti and a few others as well as scouting more youth prospects.

Milan long needed a change and Mirabelli and Fassone are bringing that.

Also, there is some feel good in Rooney going back to Everton to end his career, but again with Everton having new owners and a highly ambitious and smart manager he's more of a symbol while they have invested wisely in young prospects.

Latest news :(

Ew I am far from pleased about this, I wanted Morata and Morata was happy to come.

It had long been reported that Lukaku was the number one choice and looks like United pounced when the Chelsea deal slowed. Problem is I have always viewed Lukaku as an overrated player and this fee is absurd. Morata would have been better and had a lot more upside. Meh got to trust Jose I suppose :/

Not happy about this at all and wouldnt be angry if it fell through

Meh he will no doubt score goals and be a good signing. Just think Morata will end up being a great signing for Chelsea

Tho I did enjoy stealing Chselsea's top target from right under their nose..

Just think when all is said and done, if they sign Morata they end up with the better player *shrug*

can't deny that he can finish... shame that he has the first touch of a 40 foot lorry

Meh still think Chelsea send up accidentally getting a better player in Morata. Hope that im wrong

The Perisic deal is supposedly finally close to being done and the club is heavily briefing the press about a bid for the Spurs CM Dier. Again more MEH.

But maybe that is ok and its all about building a team that works together well? None of our transfers this year excite me (such a shame that the transfer ban killed the Griezmann deal :( ) but we tried the big sexy deals before and that didnt do a lot of good... maybe this will work out better in the longrun

Great move that, I suppose the whole "he is old" thing probably matters less in Italy. Tho if Juve are willing to sell him cheap and to a rival I assume they have a replacement that they are extremely excited about?

30 years old for a cb isnt old, and Bonucci is arguably a top 3 cb in Europe.

Juve still has a pretty deep defense. But no they dont yet have a replacement. From the sounds of it Bonucci haf a big falling out with Allegri this season (never got along with him) and wanted out but they didnt want to leavr Italy.

In other news I cant velieve Engkand srill thinks Kylw Walker is good

Dont believe a word you say anymore :( meanie

The cheapest ticket to see United V LA tonight costs more than the most expensive ticket to see United v Liverpool at Old Trafford. Little wonder why so many teams tour US in the summer
