  • 110+ total sacks

How does Wake have 1 when he had one against the Vikings and Bengals to end the game?

Remember he got passed Phil Loadholt? Then Dalton to end the game?

According to NFL.com, Wake has one career safety and that was the game winner against Cincinnati.

The game winning play against the Vikings was a blocked punt by Fede that went out of the end zone not a sack/safety by Wake.

It was week two of the 2010 season vs the Vikings.

I stand corrected. Td instead of safety

Wake strip sacked Favre in the end zone and instead of a safety Misi fell on it in the endzone.

So, even better..

It was a strip sack in their endzone.

Technically if Misi didn't fall on it, it was a safety..As a Phins fan, I'll take a strip sack TD instead.

We only won 14-10 so that play was vital.

My bad. That's why it didn't show up as a safety.

CFL stats don't count for anyone else, what makes Cam so special? Not trolling Cam but be objective about it

I wrote that as a question. Should they?

Idc enough about the HOF and stats to even know whether they should include CFL stats.

All I said is Doug Flutie wasn't good in the NFL (76 rating) and Wake averages 10 sacks a season when asked should Flutie make it since it's the Pro Football HOF.

One has been great in the NFL and CFL.

The other was a great in the CFL but couldn't translate to NFL success for an extended period of time.

I love Wake. One of the coolest Dolphins I've met.

He probably could've had 10 sacks a season while he was dominating the CFL. Sucks that will keep him out of Canton.

He's probably our most gifted pure pass rusher we've ever had.

I love Wake, but sorry; he isn't getting in. If Simeon Rice isn't getting in, Wake definitely isn't!

Rice really should get in.

That is a shame.

At one point, I thought of him as a top 3 pass rusher.

Its tough to make the HOF. A lot of greats don't get in

CFL football is MINOR LEAGUE FOOTBALL! No way the stats should ever count. This is silly.

Might wanna take a look at Warren Moon's hall of fame page

Might wanna take a look at Warren Moon's hall of fame page
Moon's HOF page has a line at the bottom of his stats that summarizes his CFL numbers, but that's all. His career highlights page doesn't mention any of his CFL accomplishments. His career summary states "Pro Career: 17 seasons (208 games)" which clearly doesn't include his 6 years in the CFL. Let's be honest, the HOF acknowledges that the CFL exists, but there's no way they give the stats there anywhere near the same level of credence as the the NFL. If they did, Doug Flutie, Damon Allen and Anthony Calvillo would be shoo-ins.

This coming from a guy (me) who actually follows the CFL a bit.

ha ha ha, if you think the writers put Moon in the Hall of Fame due to his CFL numbers you don't understand how the HOF works. It's minor league football and nobody cares about what a player did in the CFL. If the silly website mentions it that means nothing

When Warren Moon retired in 2000, only two NFL QBs had thrown for more yards than Moon's 49,325 yards. Dan Marino with 61,361 and John Elway with 51,475.

Interesting thread for sure.

They may call it the Pro Football HOF, but unfortunately it's become the NFL Hall of Fame. The voters don't recognize statistics or accomplishments you had in other professional leagues.

If they did, Herschel Walker would already have a bust in Canton for what he did in the old USFL and in the NFL. Furthermore, many old AFL players whose excellence has long been forgotten would be in.

The HOF voting has become way too political. If Wake never gets in, it still doesn't take away from his greatness. There's a lot of great, great players that aren't in the HOF.

Believe me when I say Herschel Walker was the best running back I've ever seen in college, and one of the best I've ever seen in the pros. Anybody old enough to have watched Walker and have vivid memory of him knows as much.

Between Walker and Bo Jackson, two of the best RB's ever to play the game aren't in the Pro Football HOF for various reasons. Nobody will tell you they weren't two of the best. As long as Cameron Wake is in YOUR Hall of Fame, that's good enough in my opinion.

I don't think he will make it but Cam has had a pretty remarkable career and it's not over yet. The other thing that he has going for him is that of the undrafted player who "wasn't good enough" to make a team roster and subsequently went to Canada to get an opportunity to play. Cam is the underdog of underdogs who physically rebuilt himself and put in the effort to prove all the scouts and GMs were wrong.
It would actually make a pretty good movie.

I said what Flutie did in the CFL never translated to the NFL.

In Wakes case, the total opposite happened.

This started by someone asking the simple question. Should CFL stats count?..I asked it as a question lol

All I said is Wake didn't destroy CFL competition just to blow in the NFL.

Total opposite of what other CFLers have done.

Will he make the HOF? probably not...

Will he finish with just as many All-Pros as our beloved Jason Taylor. Yes 4

I know injuries derailed Bo's career.

He's not in the HOF because of that of course. (trust me, I know how special he was)

Also this, (due to injuries)
Career NFL statistics
Rushing yards:
2,782
Yards per carry: 5.4
Rushing touchdowns: 16
