CAP question??

Currently Miami is 17.33m under the CAP this year, based on OTC. Next year the fins will have about 3.24m in CAP space. My question is, doesn't the remaining CAP from this year roll into next years CAP, meaning we will have about 20.5m in CAP space not including any CAP increases?

The NFLPA site had us at 19.6M available today.

Exactly, whatever is not spent this year will roll over to next year.

I thought we were supposed to be doomed to be in cap hell for the next 12 years the minute we signed Suh.

They have to declare the amount that will be carried over prior to the end of the regular season.

With the uncertainty of injuries and whatnot, I wouldnt expect them to commit to a number until the last week of the season.

Suh's cap hit goes up by $7 million next season over this one
Jones's cap hit goes up $7.8 million
Maxwell's goes up $1.5 million
Thomas's cap hit goes up $1 million
Stills goes up $6 million
Alonso's goes up 6.8 million
Branch goes up $5 million
Timmons goes up $4.4 million
James goes up $6.6 million

That's a $46.1 million cap hit increase on the above 9 players
from this upcoming season versus next season

It's going to make this season "with Landry" and next season
with whom we will have to release to get those inflated cap numbers under control
