Jarvis Landry's agent puts deadline on extension talks

I don't think many people know what Parker will turn into because of the past circumstances. He is just now getting healthy and coming out of his shell at the same time. They probably go hand in hand. It had to kill his confidence that he could rarely do (what he knew) he was capable of....

He has the talent to be a legitimate #1 WR and being around Juice is just an added bonus. Some of that fire will rub off on the whole group, not to mention other groups...DB's, etc. If that happens then he could absolutely be more valuable than Jarvis because he already has superior physical skills.

Landry's game will benefit as he will see less double teams. Hopefully that results in more scores (it should). Who are you going to double when you have a legit deep threat like Stills, a true #1 in Parker and a dynamic slot like Landry? Throw in a seam threat TE and....

Throw in the seam threat TE and add in the human locomotive that is the J-train. Barring major injury D coords will have their hands full stopping this offense.

This team averaged 24.3 ppg in 2014 under Philbin and Lazor with Landry, Clay, Hartline and Wallace. That was good for 11th best in the NFL. No one could convince me that this team will not exceed those numbers. We had a 1k rusher but not one 1k receiver.

One team averaged more than 30 ppg in 2016. That was the Atlanta Falcons with 33.8 ppg. NOLA was 2nd with 29.3 ppg.

Over the last 11 weeks of the season (starting against Pit), Miami averaged 25 ppg. That would have ranked 10th in 2016 but we averaged only 17.6 over those first 5 games. They were a brand new team learning a new system. We ended up 17th with 22.7 ppg.

Even Buffalo ranked 10th last year with 24.9 ppg.

This team will be around 26 or 27 ppg average in 2017.

Wrong Baldwin scores touchdowns, Landry's top pay needs to be Baldwin, nothing more nothing less IMO.

Wrong about what?

No $hit Baldwin scores more TDs lol

Landry's wayyy better than Baldwin.

If you think that then Landry won't be a Dolphin. He's DEFINITELY getting paid more than Baldwin.

Just because that' not what you want doesn't mean it's not going to happen.

If Landry would accept 11.5 mil a year don't you think we would've signed him?

If a couple mil makes you okay with getting rid of Landry, I'm shocked.

Jordy nelson led the league in Tds. Is he the best?

Baldwin is on his 3rd contract. He got an extension in 2014 and 2016. He averaged 644 yards and 4 td's per year over his first 3 years. Landry averaged 1017 yards and 4.3 td's. They will be paying for potential and his is greater than Baldwins, IMO. Baldwin didn't score more than 5 td's until his 5th year with 14 and followed up with 7 last year. He has averaged 6 td's per year over 5 years.

Landry also added 1,998 yards and a TD on returns. Baldwin has only 220 yards and 0 td on returns.

Landry also has 126 rushing yards and a td. Baldwin has 7 yards rushing.

I have confidence (and I'm sure the FO does as well) that Landry's td's will come....very soon.

You're absolutely right!!

If anyone on here thinks Landry isn't going to get at least 12-13 mil per year then WOW!! (maybe more)

Baldwin doesn't touch Landry as a football player. Not even close

So Stills had 9 tds..Is he better than Landry?

Seahawks have to throw it to someone lol

Besides Gase, Landry is the Miami Dolphins.

Without Landry, Stills wouldn't have those 9 tds.

What he means to our team is so much more than Tds and statistically he's been a stud anyways lol

Really, Jimmy Graham doesn't count? Or Tyler Lockett, who had 600 yds in 8 games.

You'd trade Landry for Baldwin?

You think he's better?

You actually think he's going to get paid what Baldwin is?

If that's the case, why hasn't it gotten done?

The Dolphins would jump on a Baldwin deal.

They don't want to piss off Landry and compare him to Baldwin.

Baldwin's first 3 years he had 130 rec, 1932 yds and 12 tds

Landry's first 3 years he had 288 rec, 3051 yds, and 13 tds

I was simply replying to your "Seahawks have to throw it to someone lol" comment. They have plenty of other options. Never said Baldwin was better.

Okay and I was saying the Seahawks don't have as good receivers as the Dolphins.

They don't. They have a better team with a better QB and defense.

Landry's getting paid mega money whether we pay it or another team does.

He would laugh at Baldwin money.

Stills having 9 tds is because of guys like Landry, Parker, and our running game opening him up.

Landry, Parker, Stills, and Ajayi or

Baldwin, Graham, Lockett, and Rawls.

More opportunities for the Seahawks offense because of their defense.

Baldwin is overrated as hell.

Landry has been leaps and bounds better than Baldwin especially when you look at what Baldwin did in his first 3 years.

Baldwin's first 3 years he had 130 rec, 1932 yds and 12 tds

Landry's first 3 years he had 288 rec, 3051 yds, and 13 tds

During his huge 2015 season Baldwin had TD wise (14), Jimmy Graham was non existent.

Their 2nd leading receiver had 685 yds 6 tds, 3rd had 664 5 tds, and Graham had 605 and two tds.

Last year Baldwin had less tds (7) than Stills (9) and Stills isn't better by a long shot.

Wilson is also a better QB than Tannehill.

Baldwin was undrafted and only started 14 games his first three seasons. He's caught 238 passes, 3022 yds and 24 TDs the last three years. I wouldn't call that "overrated as hell."

When comparing to Landry, he's overrated.

The thread was about comparing salaries and what Landry deserves compared to other receivers.

My whole point is Jarvis Landry is going to be paid 12-14 mil from us or someone else.

When I think of great receivers, Doug Baldwin doesn't come to mind. (Landry has earned the title)

Baldwin had 1 huge season with 14 tds. I can't take that away.

It's nobody's fault but his he didn't get drafted but his own and Landry had Wallace catching 10 tds his rookie year lol

Then Stills last year with 9.

There's too many variables to make this argument so I go by the simple eye test.

It's really not close especially when you consider the QB difference.

Lets just agree to disagree. No losing there lol

Ultimately we're Phin Fans lol Here's to hoping we get Landry back regardless!! (:

I do hope we do keep Landry. The intangibiles he brings to the table can't be replaced.

Oh for sure!!

I think he kind've started the #NEWMIAMI theme.

I haven't been this excited in over a decade and a hlf lol

Whatever ride or die!!

PHINS UP!!!

First 4 games last year were arguably against the toughest teams on our schedule
