1st night of golf league last night. Weather was good. We did have a few new members to league this year. Tony was new and played with us. On the 7th hole he boomed a perfect drive except it trickled off the fairway right at the end. When we went up we couldn't find it. We eventually kept going toward green and found it almost on the green. The drive ended up being about 350 yards with wind at his back. Unreal.

Sounds like my friend AG's son who is 6' 3 ' and 260. He's not that good at anything else but driving where he routinely out drives us by 40 - 50 yards

We estimated one at over 350 yards just 50 yards short of the par 4 green. He ended up with a double bogey after a sideways chip then another to the fringe before 3 putts

Fish I absolutely hate that stupid little ball........I mean every time I have a driver in my hand I want that ball to designate. It represents all of my life problems rolled into on single round object that I want to smash over and over and over again and my driver represents the instrument of destruction that I will use to obtain my goal.

Yeah I've hit those bombs out to 350 yards, drove shorter par 4 green before and generally can be on any Par 5 in two.........however those few glorious moments pale in comparison to being 300 yards two fareways over or under the trees down the side (I think my best shot of any club is the 3 iron stinger lol and that shouldn't be).

I'd trade it all for 250 and straight any day but I am too ****ing stupid to layoff my driver which is why I'll never shoot par and always be at best a guy who shoots a 39 and usually shoots a 45.

Tried TopGolf yesterday. It was way over rated. Glad the vendor paid because it was $30-50 per hour depending on the time of day. Ball felt heavy and you had to adjust your distances accordingly. The computer scoring was OK. Really expensive driving range. Wouldn't do it again.

Golf league last night. I hope I didn't piss off one of the new guys. He was leading the fore some with 3 holes to go and I just had to bring the scorecard into play. He wilted quickly under the pressure and my buddy won the round. He said he had a date with his wife after and left quickly. Just a little trash talking.

Shot a 44 with 4 pars in 30-50 mph winds on Tuesday and beat everyone in the league. Was in a groove. One shot I was 155 out facing strong cross wind. I used my 200 yard hybrid and aimed to middle of pond that was left of green. Crushed the shot perfectly. It went over the pond then wind pushed it right back to front of green. I was still 20 yards short. My 200 shot went about 135 in that wind. Unreal.

Finally made a damn putt. For the longest time I have been missing everything over 10 ft. Last week I sunk a 15 footer to save bogey on the last hole. Then this week I sunk 3 more in a row on the 5th, 6th and 7th hole. Of course it all came to and end on 8 when i missed the 7 foot birdie putt. It was nice to finally make a few. Had 14 putts on the round.

Funny how things go from good to bad. 14 putts last week and 21 this week. It all averages out eventually.

Playing in the Robert McKenna golf scramble on Friday. Was supposed to be last Friday but the tropical storm dropped 4 inches of rain on us that day. Been going to this tournament for about 10 years on the vendors. Lots of fun and nice dinner afterwords.

I'm playing 9 this afternoon. Haven't played since the beginning of June due to some health issues but they are behind me now and I cann't wait to smack some balls.
