Gase reached out to Peyton Manning after Tanny's injury...

Lol. What's funny is that some people think Matt Moore is more capable Ryan Tannehill and here Gase is asking for Payton to come back. Hmmmmm......

Haha I know lol

My Giants fan Dad thinks Matt Moore is just as good lol

He sees two games against decent teams and our receivers stepped up for Moore a lot in those games.

Parker, Stills, and Landry all had good games.

Tannehill is a top 15 QB with the capability of being a top 10.

Moore is a career backup and if not he would have been traded in a "QB needy" league..

Matt Moore will tell you with his own words he's not better than Tannehill..(Not even close)

Nicest guy on the team, great teammate, and great backup. Moore's an awesome insurance policy for not that expensive compared to what the Bucs were going to pay Glennon to be a back up lol

I watched Manning play football in 2015.

Peyton Manning could not have played NFL football in 2016. His body wasn't capable of it.

The fact that even he had to admit that, as competitive as he is, is the best indication of that you could have.

There is some universe out there where that happened. I want to visit that universe

Lol I'm watching the flash right now. All these different universes is freaky.

But I do like the idea of Peyton doing that I just realize how unlikely that is. Peyton was barely a functional backup type the last time he played

ha! didn't even see this until after I posted... but yeah I agree that at this point Moore would've been better than manning likely

Moore did great work as a backup. When you have a backup QB in the NFL, who isn't getting starter reps and who is probably a backup for a reason (i.e. some facet of his game is lacking), then what you want is the credible threat of scoring points. You want the CHANCE to score points.

Moore scored critical points vs the Cardinals and torched the Jets in a must-win game for the Dolphins; I also thought he played pretty decently vs New England, and was not the reason Miami got clobbered in that game. In one relief appearance and four starts, I thought he turned in 3 legitimately good performances. You also have to consider that his aggressiveness throwing downfield helps the running game, even when he's not playing his best ball.

I'm very comfortable in my belief that we were much better off with Matt Moore than the corpse of Peyton Manning in those last four games. #18 did both himself and the Miami Dolphins a favor by deciding to enjoy his retirement.

In all the "Possible" parallel universes out their do you really think there is ONE where Payton doesn't get killed behind our O-Line....Payton sacked..Paralyzed from the neck down...Film at 11...Gase was just getting ahead of the media with that call to Payton...I like Manning always have...He's done..He went out on top...Why blow it..

IF Gase seriously considered playing Manning then I have to wonder, "What in the hell was he thinking."
Manning showed a lot more common sense by saying NO.
I doubt very much that it was a serious exchange.

a washed up peyton would have at least taken care of the ball better than matt moore and given us some correct none motion based coverage ids

If you think Moore is as good or better than Tannehill, please see look at the end of the 1st half in Buffalo and his decision to throw for the end zone and he's amazing execution of it.

Mat Moore did a great job last yr. Give the man credit.
Without him we would of been home. He win 3 game and lost 2. He lost against 2 of best team in nfl. We was not going beat pit 2 time. They were ready second time. And if he is need he will be ready again this yr..
