Was thinking about this the other day. Who is the best player Jimmy Johnson ever drafted?
Was it Troy Aikman, Emmit Smith, Jason Taylor? JJ certainly had a hand in drafting some great players.

Had Aikman not been riddled with concussion problems and other injuries that cost him some games almost every season aside from 2-3 seasons, I think Aikman would be hands down the best pick of the three names you listed(Believe the year Aikman got drafted, there were a lot of good names to pick from but Aikman was safe bet at pick 1 of the draft that year. There was Aikman, Barry Sanders, Deion Sanders, Trace Armstrong, etc... hard to believe Miami had 2 picks in the 1st round that year)

Jimmy said he was trying to decide who to take with the 2nd round pick. He was torn between Sam Madison and Jason Taylor. This after taking Yatil Green at 15.
Looking back at that draft, there were not many star players taken after Yatil in round 1. Probably should have taken Jake Plummer in rd 1. He went 2 spots before Sam Madison.
