I do wear boots a lot but not cowboy hats. I'm probably far more eclectic than you might imagine. Everything from Sapphire Lounge (bowling shirt/Guy Fierri style) to Bugachi Uomo (Italian dress shirt) in my closet. Not much for western shirts or cowboy hats but I do like my boots. I probably wear dress shirts (Robert Graham, Thomas Dean, Paul Frederick, etc.) and Tommy Bahama shirts with khakis or jeans more than anything. I'm a redneck with a bit of style. Oh yeah, I wear pink and purple a lot too...go figure.
What a frigging snowflake. Why does that not surprise me. :laugh

Freaking red necks :thumbsdown

Nice, I could live with that! I think you and I are looking lost cousins or something.
Hey, I wear boots too!

A classmate of mine bought a pair of these and wore them to work against my advise. He learned the hard way.

Those aren't entirely horrible but I could see him catching some flak. I like reptiles and square or nipped toes. I have really wide feet that don't like pointed toes at all. I could spend tens of thousands on boots if I had the money but alas I don't.

Arguably the best boots in the world. Last forever. Australian riding boots.

Advised him not to wear them more for the bodily fluids that were sure to get on them at some point more than the look.

Their (RM Williams) Stockyard Winton might be more your style:

Very nice, they look super comfortable! I love Wellingtons and have work out a few pairs. I didn't even think about you being in a hospital and bodily fluids being an issue. I do have a pair of side-zip Florsheims similar to your friends ankle boots but they are more like high top dress shoes.

Yeah, mine are super comfortable, just way too expensive to be wearing in the wards. One of the few things I'm bringing back to the states. Those, some Kathmandu gear, and some Tassie whisky. And kids that say Aussie things now.

Can @Gonzo compare the relative virtues of vegemite sandwiches vs. traditionally-garnished all beef hotdogs and buns?

Vegemite is terrible, on sandwiches or anything. My son hates them too, but my daughter loves them. She's lived her whole life here, though--all 1 1/2 years of it--so, she's been indoctrinated. New Orleans food should fix that.

Also, they call them snags here. I refuse to play along, m8.
