The Football thread - the version that actually uses a ball and feet

Lost *shrug* Barca are better. That front 3 is still crazy, tho it could soon become a front 2!

Ross has done a great job hyping up a meaningless friendly that is missing 2 of the games 3 best players.

Our signings continue to underwhelm me. Matic is a good player and is proven in the premier league under Jose, but turns 29 soon.

Meh that Athletico transfer ban that killed the griezmann deal has really ****ed up out summer

Good goal kid, hope he gets some chances this year, impressive preseason

29 in a few days? 40 odd million quid?

This pass and the goal we scored 30 seconds later is one of the most crazy things that I have ever seen on a football pitch

Boo wish this volley from a corner went in

Well that is the end of a very successful preseason. Last year the tour in China was a disaster (games called off etc) but this year was great

Super Cup (basically a friendly I suppose, we will lose) up next then the new season gets started

Still think we lack a bit of talent and that the ****ing Griezmann transfer mess probably killed our transfer plans.

But **** it, new season starts today, can't wait.

I got to 6 games last year, doubt I make it to any this time :/

Decent way to get things started. I didn't like the signing, but Matic has had a strong debut

That went well.

Lukaku is going to dominate the smaller teams, I still have have concerns about games against better sides, especially in the champions league.

Matic was awesome, hope im very wrong about him.

Lindelof didn't even manage to get on the bench... bit concerning

for what it's worth, Lukaku also scored a tap-in vs. real in the Super Cup. granted, that goal was gift-wrapped by Keylor Navas, but Lukaku was in the right spot at the right time.

Oh dear. 29 and really quite ****. One of the strangest signings that I can remember

This is why I love Phil Jones

Fergie was convinced he would be an all time great. But his career has been utterly devastated by injuries, very sad
