Timmons suspended indefinitely

Gase has two rules. Not that hard. I'd rather lose doing the right thing than win by doing the wrong thing. The message has been sent to the whole team. Be on time and play hard. Everyone is accountable

Ozzy rules!!

Yup, and I have been saying something similar during my coaching career...I would rather lose with winners than win with losers...and it's been pretty successful in terms of keeping folks in line, paying attention to details, working and playing hard in practice and in games.

We don't have the full story, but the Dolphins do and they sound pissed. I just don't see them putting Timmons back on the roster. This was basically a cardinal sin as far as team athletics goes. It doesn't matter how badly we need competent LBs right now, can't set a precedent like that.

Wow!!! Well, can't be too shocked, we knew something was coming, and we know Gase does not play around, and at the end of the day, it will continue to help create the right type of football team.

Miami might miss having a quality vet like Timmons playing at a position we dearly need talent at, but when all is set and done, Gase again set the tone...Miami plays as a single unit of players, of which all will be on time, all can be counted on, all will play hard, and to the end of the whistle, or they will be playing somewhere else.

This is why the team played so united last year, and this is why the team will continue to play as one going forward.

I think we just got to have the expectation that the D will be a sieve now and have the mindset to outscore any team like thto Marino glory years. They do have the weapons to do that

I'd sign Hewitt and give Timmons a week off. Maybe he gets 2 although Brees is gonna murder our lb level if he has time.

There's no way they can tell me hewitt isn't a better option than that lb depth.

Chargers only got a day to prepare for hull wait til teams get a week to dial up things.
Hull was a starter all along. I think you mean Allen

I can't believe some people here want Jenkins back. What did he ever do that was so good???? he just got cut again but people here think he's going to come here and save our season? Come on man

I don't think that is necessary true, Timmons is facing some big time humiliation right now by most in the NFL, this gives him time to humble himself and do all the right things to get back on the team. I believe its up to Timmons to get back on the team.

I don't think it's a matter of saving he season, just that we don't have options. He has familiarity with the team at the least.

Jenkins was never healthy in 2016 he played with one leg. He may not be healthy now either

This still happened with Hull..

While linebacker Mike Hull - forced into a major role - held up in the running game, he allowed all nine passes thrown against him to be caught for 95 yards. The targets, receptions and yards allowed were all the most for any linebacker in coverage for Week 2

They really need to do something-

Jenkins played competently when he was healthy. His problem was he could not stay healthy.

Maybe being back in Pittsburgh during the off week, he realized he still wanted to be there. TJ Watt got hurt, so they do have a need at LB as well. But he had to have known the financial ramifications he'd be causing himself, unless he intends not to pay back any money received.

I would love to see the language of his contract. There is usually language requirement repayment of bonuses for various offenses.... like with Ricky Williams, and Dion Jordan.

Suspended indefinitely is interesting wording.

My gut says they are about to make the case that he breached his contract. If that is the case, and I were the fins, I would go after him hard for #1 the money and #2 suspension for the entire season.

If they can prove that he basically said "i got my money F** you" because he didn't get his way about something, that would have to be breach of contract. And, I think the commissioner has the power to suspend players beyond the team's CBA abilities. You could make the case that would be the right thing for the commissioner to do. It protects players and owners. Owners know they can't be bilked out of up front money. Players know the owners will continue to sign them to up front money.
