Dolphins trade for Saints LB Stephone Anthony

some of you are so negative its sickening!

Give the kid a chance before you act like you know more than the pros.

What a bunch of weeners

And some jizz their Dolphins zubaz at every single move the Phins make. I think most are in the middle and capable of having a discussion on the pros and cons of a move though, so settle down.

Don't know if i've ever seen Hoops this dispassionate about someone.

I wasn't a fan of him coming out of college, primarily because he was viewed as a 1st-2nd rounder. That said for 5th round pick i'm okay with it. My hopes aren't high but IMO his ability is worth the chance, especially considering out current LB situation. Also i have absolutely zero faith that Malaluga will play more than 2 games for us.

I remember this kid in the draft. I had him as a 4th round pick but knew he would shoot up after the combine. He killed the combine with some eye popping athleticism but none of it translated on the field. Very slow to read and diagnose plays...very slow. Athleticism helped him get away with his slow reactions in college...clearly not the case in the NFL.

We gave up a 5th round pick, took on a big contract (he was a 1st rounder) and my guess is he won't be here next year. Hurts the cap, hurts the draft.

Your disdain for Twitter is irrelevant. Its the views of a former 6 year veteran WR of the NFL.

.

Not disdain. It's the simple fact everyone has an a-hole as well as an opinion.

if you're so confident your take on things is so rock solid and undeniable -- go get a job in the NFL.

They'd love someone who hypothetically bats 1000!

Other than that >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> its all O-PINION!

My O-PINION. Of course.

No thanks. I'm happily and comfortably retired, much like Hawkins.

Also, his view isn't alone in the respect which he shared.

Yea. Like freaking "twitter" (as evidenced by our conman dumbass in chief) is some bastion of "truth."

LOL

The fact that it was posted on Twitter doesn't diminish its truth. Honestly I thought it was well known coaches hired former colleagues and friends, what Andrew Hawkins said was not news to me.

Exactly right. His instincts and football intelligence are the major limiting factors. He does fit better as a 4-3 SLB than a 3-4 ILB or OLB, and, as you noted, he should be Miami's best blitzing LB. He's also shown the ability to cover TE's down the seam. Assuming it's a 5th-7th, I think it's a very good move.

Like you said, if it's a late rounder that wouldn't be a bad thing. Lots of late rounders never make an impact and at least Anthony played well as a rookie. Hopefully, Miami has a better plan for him than New Orleans did.

Still hopeful that Timmons comes back, but I don't think that's likely.

How else would Joe Vitt still have a job and Burke be promoted.

So, basically, your suggestion (or O-PINION) is that we shouldn't really discuss any of this because we don't work in the NFL? Why on earth did you join a message board if you don't want discussions on things like signings?
