Timmons suspended indefinitely

I am glad we won! It gave all leverage to Gase as we won without Timmons on the road against a team that is suppose to make some playoff noise. I am wondering if Timmons thought at any point he was not expendable because of our issues at the position? Hopefully he learns and we can move on from this. He is a positive on this teeam at a position of need if he can get his head screwed on straight!

Do we know how long the suspension is? Sorry if I missed it.

None of this makes sense. Outside of having some type of mental issue, the only scenario I can see that would explain whats going on here is this...

Timmons did something against Gase's rules (late to a meeting) that he was disciplined for. He being a 12 year vet thought the infraction and subsequent penalty was petty and beneath him, got pissed and said screw this I'm OUT! I'm not going to any damn team meetings, I'm not coming to the game... I'm flying my ass home! Maybe Gase told him he wasn't playing and he decided there was no need for him to stay in LA so he thought it would be best to get a head start heading home.

I can see this scenario happening.... Anything else and I'd conclude that he has mental issues.

Indefinite = Forever? We'll see. Probably 2 games, at most (due to the NFLPA agreement) 4 games.
Yeah I knew it was "indefinite" but I saw how the NFLPA wouldn't allow that so I was just wondering if we had confirmation on an exact number like 2 or 4.

I don't think that is necessary true, Timmons is facing some big time humiliation right now by most in the NFL, this gives him time to humble himself and do all the right things to get back on the team. I believe its up to Timmons to get back on the team.

Said yesterday.

Can t cut him or trade him so it was best to suspend him. He be back in week 6

That would be absurd coming from a league veteran like him.

I think the reaction to your post(s) vs. the reaction to mine tells the story dolphinlifer. I don't understand your obvious disdain for Gase. Is he perfect? No. Am I very impressed with what he has done in just over a year here? Heck yes, as is nearly everyone with a pulse, including the media. Underdog team had talent for sure? The OL was a total mess until he overhauled it by getting rid of his predecessors' trash. The entire roster is about a 2-3 year makeover from being championship (not even SB) worthy. Weaknesses at DB, LB, OL & DL all stood directly in his path when he took over, and Miami is 10-2 in their last 12 regular season games. Were some of them close, and some even lucky? Yes and yes. But don't tell me there isn't a difference between a culture that finds a way to win those games vs. constantly lose them as we have done for over a decade. It's completely your prerogative to be anti-Gase, which you clearly are (don't sugar coat that one fella)... but I just don't get it. He's the best thing this franchise has going for it, or has had in a long time.

I don't really like him, I've always said that, i like some things he's done, he's definitely not nearly as bad as Phibin or Sparano, but that's the worst coaches. People worship gase so much on here and just ignore the facts its ridiculous, people forget he started 1-5, made a lot of bad decisions early and lately, had two meh drafts and worst of all when we win games we should lose its a culture not luck. Not us coming back to win or defense holding to win, its other teams missing 30-40 yard fgs after marching down the field like our defense was swiss cheese, that has nothing to do with culture, that is plain luck and to say otherwise is propoganda, just like somebody mentioned that the past two patriots sb wins were earned and were nothing but choke jobs by seattle and atlanta. That's what I get tired of everybody being forced to like what the group has chosen to follow or people lash out at you because you think for yourself or call things what they are and aren't just cheerleading or spreading propganda.

Same exact nonsense happened with Sparano and Philbin, it was all peaches and cream til they got fired, then it was "oh we knew it all along", on to the next guy you can't say the truth about, I'm just a realist, that is all.

Lots of new coaches start out slow and with some mistakes, what we see here is he seems to learn from those mistakes.

Lots of teams are lucky and get their wins with missed field goals, it happens. The fact that we were in the game with injuries and no shows all over the place shows that this team has heart, and that starts with the coach.

You do know, he isn't the one making the draft picks, right?

I think its very optimistic to assume that Timmons even wants to come back at this point... Im no shrink but looking at this from the outside looking in and making a logical assumption, it sure looks like he doesnt give a **** about the Fins...

Actually I thought we'd start slow this year. We have a QB who not only has been here a month but hasn't played a real NFL game in over a year. We have lineman who haven't really played together (James, Tunsil and Pouncey missed time in camp and we're on LG 3) and this thing with Timmons thrusted Chase Allen into action. Not to mention the hurricane and schedule disruption, the fact we won the game is a huge bonus.

We are 11-6 with him as the Head Coach. Belichick got fired from his first Head Coaching gig lol I'm not understanding what you don't like about him. We're winning football games which is what we ALL want. Who would you want? Our Culture has clearly changed and instead of being on the losing side of those FGs, we're getting some are way (about time). Falcons and Seattle clearly choked ,so I have no idea who says otherwise. You're a realist which is a good thing IMO. In reality, under Coach Gase the Dolphins are 11-6 with a playoff berth while dealing with huge injuries to very important positions. I don't think anyone feels forced to like him just like you aren't. The question is "what more could he have done to satisfy you as a Dolphins fan?" It's totally your right to not like him. I just want to know why you dont like him if you don't mind me asking? Keep in mind that nobody's perfect. If he keeps winning, how can we not like him? With winning being the main thing a true fan should care about, hasnt us winning given you any hope for our future? Thanks brother
