Dolphins Hope to Get ‘Upper Hand’ on Anthony Deal

Just a reminder that we hired Joe Vitt. Former LB coach for the Saints who was involved with Anthony during his time there. So I'm not sure were the jump in development will come from. Burke has yet to improve or develop our LB unit either. Anthony was also scouted by Ireland. Though in the Irleand case, Anthony was simply overdrafted.

We'll see. I don't really have any expectations for Anthony.

I think wheeler in terms of smarts as a player is a close comparison here

Only thing is wheeler didn't play mike and lack of smarts at mike is usually a death sentence

When i think of Wheeler all i can think of is a 38+ year old Tom Brady embarrassingly juke him. I know we all remember that play.

Anthony has some upside but i don't honestly trust our coaching staff to take advantage of that.

I just got done reading 20 page thread on trade @ saints forum. They made it seem that ireland is in charge of saints now. After he arrived they had a personel mixup with ireland hiring all his guys.

There are mixed reactions about guy. Most common complaint is too stupid to understand the defense and out of postion. But many think he wasnt used properly and under new system might thrive as late 1st round talent might suggest.
 
The last freakish athlete we had did nothing for us...Dion Jordan. Gotta have at least half a brain to be an NFL player. Hopefully, the criticisms are wrong and he was just not used right. I'll be happy if he can contribute. Didn't I read somewhere that he is injured with a high ankle sprain? Did he practice with us today?

That's a tough cover. Allen has excellent burst in his vertical stem and in and out of his cuts. Runs excellent routes for his size.

I see some good things on the tape from x in terms of fluidity and technique at times and also awareness

But #1 corners short of scheme driven production lock up jets level WRs so I want to see him in guys hip this week
