Hopefully, we see the good James for the rest of the season because we saw enough of the bad James last year. If he can keep this up there may be a Pro Bowl in his future.

The tape is beautiful to watch, if you are an offensive line coach.
There is Ja’Wuan James, the Miami Dolphins right tackle, doing everything right against Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram, two of the premier pass rushers in the NFL.
“Probably the best game that he’s played since we’ve been here,” Dolphins coach Adam Gase gushed Thursday.
This was James at his best. This was James living up to his first-round draft pedigree.
This was James stonewalling pass-rushers, down after down after down.

James was probably our best O-lineman the second half of last year. Looks to me like he starting to live up to his draft status. I was pretty happy with Jesse Davis too...we may have finally found a gem that everyone else overlooked. Davis is very athletic, moves extremely well on running plays. I'm excited to see how he develops. Bushrod also playing better in year two of being an OG. I think most of our successful runs were to Bushrod/James side.

I don't wanna hijack the thread but was anyone else impressed with the oline? Run blocking wise they were good. I only remember a few pass protection break downs. 1 of which Gase took blame as it was meant to be a quick hitter but wasn't there

James was awesome against one of the best DEs in the NFL. He was pancaking guys, getting to the 2nd level, and living up to his draft status. If he can become one of the game's best RTs (which is very possible), the 2014 draft may be the best 1st and 2nd round picks we've had in quite some time. You cannot really argue against Landry and James if he continues his play. Money talks $$$ and James wants to get paid!!

Very impressed by James. Pouncey back did wonders for the whole unit too. Like datruth said too, Davis looked okay too. I expect Tunsil will settle in and improve also

We're in a weird position where we have a pretty good o line overall, but we're also 1 injury away from a disaster.
Which was the case last year. Once Pouncey went down the whole line fell apart until they put Urbik in at Center. And even then we couldn't run the ball as well as we had been.

Delighted to see Ja'Wuan's improvement. Taken a while, but he's now looking like he was a very good Draft pick by Dennis Hickey, (who also had the foresight to find Jarvis Landry in the 2nd round).

In that last clip did Bosa do a horrible flop job when he got back up in an attempt to draw a flag?

It looked like he got up and threw himself back to the ground!

Looking ahead, I wonder if Miami can keep both James and Pouncey. That's certainly a question for another day, though. Right now, have to be satisfied with the play of the offensive line. That will be huge throughout the season and, hopefully, this unit can stay healthy.

Play #3 in those tweets - Stills had beat his man and was on the way to the end zone.....i know, easy for me to see from my armchair with no LB trying to kill me.

It's not just us, it's 2/3 of the league. The league's offensive line abilities as a whole, to include having any solid depth, are turning into the next "lack of quality quarterback play" problem. The spread offense in college is killing the QB play/market, and is now seeping into the O-line.
