How Ja’Wuan James overpowered, dominated Chargers

Great to see him finally get over the hump. I'm just hoping that he can continue to be consistent throughout the duration of the season. Lord knows we need it!

It's not just us, it's 2/3 of the league. The league's offensive line abilities as a whole, to include having any solid depth, are turning into the next "lack of quality quarterback play" problem. The spread offense in college is killing the QB play/market, and is now seeping into the O-line.

I don't necessarily agree. I think our pair of backup tackles is easily one of the worst in the league.

Tunsil will get better no high speed game reps at T for liek 2 years that wont last long, James looked good and some of our depth pieces are playing well. Weight program is going well just keep developing and building chemistry and lets see how far it takes us.

It's not the collegiate concepts that are hurting NFL play as much as it is the CBA that led to restricted practices. In KC Reid is currently running collegiate Spread concepts (RO, RPO, speed options, veers, etc.) with a lot of success. Yes it does play apart in offensive lineman's ability to finish, but Belichick addressed this question earlier this week and pretty much nails the problem.

I thought we ran the ball to the right considerably better than to the left. JJ had a great game, and I just hope we can get steady line play all season long.

We're in a weird position where we have a pretty good o line overall, but we're also 1 injury away from a disaster.
How is that any different than... 28 other teams? no one has great depth at all positions.

We're going to have some though decisions to make. We can't pay every single one of them what they want so most likely we're going to lose a starter or two it seems

Ozzy rules!!

This is why his option was picked up. As much as he struggled early last season, he played well down the stretch and it seems to be carrying over into 2017.

Have always thought James was a good player. May also be the nicest guy in the NFL

I've always thought James has lived up to his 1st round draft status. I think all 1st round OL picks that we have made have lived up. Problem is we put Guards beside them that we get from other teams and Pouncey is going to wear down. Parker is also going to wear down :(
