It was a shitty game in every aspect. You can't put the blame on one player or coach or one unit. We sucked. We sucked at coaching, at QB, OL sucked, J Train sucked, receivers sucked (someone tell them where the first down marker is....it's the other way.)
Our defense sucked.

But in reality it is one game. Forgotten in all these dooms day posts is that today was upset Sunday: The Raiders currently get clobbered by an inferior Redskins team. The Bills beat the up and coming Broncos. The Steelers (one of the challengers for the Pats for the AFC crown) got beaten by a really bad Bears team. The 0-2 Saints clobbered the 2-0 Panthers. And a mediocre Jaguars team put a licking on the 2-0 Ravens team. Any given Sunday.

The other reality is that last year at the same time we did not look like world beaters either. As a matter of fact we did not look like an NFL team until game 6.

This dooms day crap we can keep until we reach a point when the NFL teams establish themselves and you can actually separate between the "haves" and "Have nots".

And on another note: if people cannot behave like humans in the Game Day thread I will petition to the other mods and admins to just disallow these type of threads. Adam is putting so much effort in creating these threads week in and out it is a shame how you all treat the right to post here and spit on his effort and the free fan platform Finheaven is providing. And this has nothing to do with emotions running high because what I saw today and in other game day threats is piss poor behavior.

Definitely was a very bizarre day in the league. Of course Houston had to give a win away otherwise it would of been total bizarro day. Either way I think the worst part is we needed this because obviously it was divisional. But also the Jets are a 3 win team this year and destroyed us and who do we have now? Oh just the Saints, Titans, Falcons, and then Jets again. I can see us losing those 3 before beating Jets at home. Doesn't look good.

Might as well save mods the trouble and end it now, but that's just my opinion.

Not trying to glorify a bad game. It was awful. But last year we looked as pathetic. Have we forgotten that the backup QB of the Pats beat us into oblivion before we even had a meaningful drive? Or that miserable win against Cleveland followed by an even more miserable Thursday Night performance against the Bengals?
Football is a game of emotions. And teams can be coached up and down. Last year we changed the emotions and the momentum and Gase coached the team up.
These dooms day predictions by some are way to early and honestly at this point annoying. If that team is already a 4-12 team why still be interested. Might as well wait the season out, make a "told you so" posts and start talking draft.

It is not only one game. Last game we scored only three points in the fiRst half. Even last season, slow start was the norm. The pattern is alarming.
Really discouraging, when we win it's a late drive after a slow start and we just don't seem to have any type of identity or regular rhythm.

I'm also quite dismayed at the lack of game preparation and game planning for opponents. I'm afraid I was getting sucked in by the playoff appearance which of course we lost bad last year but I think we're actually regressing.

We have started slow for the last 2 decades. It is so rare for us to score a TD on our first possession that when it happens I have to check if I am watching the right game. That is not a new development.

How about we weren't that great to begin with, we are super soft at the corner and LB before the injuries and then we lost too much to be all that competitive

It wasn't just Tannehill but he is the largest cog

That is perspective
