Talk is cheap. It's easy to say to say we need to improve execution and play calling but another to actually change it. I have serious doubts that change will happen. Gase has pounded this square peg into a round hole since he's been here. He so badly wants us to be like his Broncos team but we aren't even close, we may even be less talented offensively than his bear's team. Gase's history of starting games out fast with innovative play calling is almost non existent, at least with the bears and Dolphins. His ability to make adjustments at halftime has been fairly good. However, You can't win with this roster and schedule playing only half of each game. So yes, the offense has been terrible, but will it ever change? My guess is we'll continue to run obscene amounts of wr screens, run on every 2nd and 10+, and throw tons of passes short of the sticks on Sunday. I hope I'm wrong and will eat a huge plate of crow if it actually happens.

This is my perception as well.

How is Burke escaping this fire?

3 encroachments in a row.

He's a motivational speaker. I'll never trust that guy after promoting the wide nine, then playing prevent with his corners 10 yds. off the LOS. Probably why Timmons ran back to Pittsburgh. Probably why his corners look so frustrated. Probably why he started Verner over Tankersly.

But no, all I hear about Burke are fluff piece articles about gorillas and crapping on Chase Allen to make him a better player.

He'll be gone by season's end. He's just a token card to be dropped so Gase makes it through the season.

Personally he shouldn't. Coach Gase keeps saying the defense did enough...maybe run defense has done OK, maybe a bit better then that, but pass defense and pass rush are both smelly garbage that needs to be dealt with fast.

The heavy hitters on Miami's schedule are coming very soon, and if Miami can't defend the pass or get in the face of the QB, we will be dead on arrival.

At this point with Gase it’s :”don't talk about it, be about it.” Yes you identified the problems now fix them. The talent on this offensive team alone should be enough to outscore the jets regardless of how bad the defense is.

Miami's identity IMO is still the run game. The line and Ajayi couldn't set the tone, which left Miami as a one dimensional offense.

Gase just don't understand that you need a Top 5 QB to run a screen pass effectively. His offence is similar to Lazors. So with that being said. Lazors offence was garbage. We need to hire a OC that calls plays. Gase is a good coach and I will stand behind that, but his playing calling is for a Top 5 QB and not going to work

I don't think anyone here thinks the offense has played well this year. The goal is too score points if you can't score points your offense sucks. I don't care what stats tell you otherwise. The media has been touting the high powered offense we've yet to see just as much as finheaven has.

Our freaking offense is horizontal. Watch the red zone channel, teams attack downfield all game. When we throw a deep ball, it feels like we did something dirty. Attack the middle of the field. loosen the offense up, While our blocking has not been good, if the defense has no fear about getting beat downfield, they will pin their ears back and attack. When you can sit at home and predict the play calls its a problem. We play Wanny ball again, only we are not as good at it. Playing not to lose will insure you do.
Gase needs to take his hand of the chicken switch !!!

OK if the offense has been garbage for 2 years why? and that isn't a why asking for "I'm handcuffed at QB" "I don't have the right guys upfront" " I don't have a TE" no..........I'm asking why is it garbage Adam Gase?

I see other teams running offenses with their limited roster and a perfect point in case is Buffalo, if you had asked me about them winning this year I'd have laughed. Hell even St. Louis and San Fran look better than Miami right now and while St. Louis isn't handcuffed San Fran certainly is a laugher on the offensive side of the ball but they must no know that.

So why Gase? make some changes.........I see a blah game being called. Who cares if you lose big but at least do it with flare, Where is this no huddle we heard you wanted to run? Where is a quicker up tempo offense? Cutler is old enough to be able to run a no huddle or short call offense.

For all this uncertainty on Defense the other side of the ball seems to be the bigger stinker right now and our head coach is supposed to be a guru on offense..........so I ask why?

The problem with this offense is we are overly conservative. Just being aggressive for an entire game for once would be a nice change of pace and would probably yield better results. I'm not saying get stupidly aggressive, but we still do the "run to setup the pass" mentality, that's not the NFL anymore.

To me is very simple and I'll say it again. Our O-line SUCKS!!!!!
It hurts the running game which in turn it hurts the passing game. I'd love for Cutler to go down field but I can see why it's hard to do behind our o-line. Think about it. How many times was Ajayi hit behind the LOS on Sunday? If the o-line do it's job then Ajayi will get going and then Cutler will get going. We have ONE guy playing good up front(James) and everyone else getting beat in almost every play but why should we be surprised? This is pretty much the same O-line from last year that everyone knew needed to be upgraded but we didn't so we're stuck with what we have.

Ozzy rules!!

One thing the qb is below average. OL is terrible and the WRs are overrated.

Landry adds nothing other than "fire" "heart" yet that leads to an anemic offense. Stills is a one trick pony and DVP hasn't lived up to standards yet, but his flashes are elite.

Ajayi is the teams best player on offense. He can't get going then neither can the team. Need to fix the OL once and for all.

Miami's identity IMO is still the run game. The line and Ajayi couldn't set the tone, which left Miami as a one dimensional offense.
I agree......and that's the problem, it should be a more balance attack. We have three dynamic WR's and we are more or less relying quite heavly on our ground game. Question is....is that a QB problem, an Oline problem, a coaching problem or lack of talent overall?
