Don't be too quick to write Brendel off because of his lack of resume. Just take a look at the Pats OL through the years since BB has been there. Tons of unknowns.

Not saying he will be better than a healthy Pouncey. A healthy Pouncey is a stud. I just wouldn't write him off as developing into a serviceable starter.

Regardless, our line will be noticeably improved once Ted Larson gets back and we don't have a huge black hole at one of the guard spots.
 
Move Pouncey to FB and use him as Ajayi's lead blocker. Then cut him in the offseason.

We aren’t the Patriots. We don’t have Belicheck or Scarnecchia coaching up the unit. Gotta stop the comparison right there.

Trust me, he sucked at guard. Pro bowl voting means nothing anymore. Half the guys don't go and then to be replaced by like the 6th option. We saw him play and he was terrible

How many of Pouncey's probowls did he actually deserve? I swear it's like he's got dirt on whoever is organizing it.
 
Trade Pouncey while he still have some value. That's what Belichick would have done. Trying to fool some teams they are getting a pro bowl center.
 
I'll admit it. I had to vote Pouncy for the pro bowl. He has compromising pics of me with his wife.
 
It's not so much that he's hurt, it's the amount of money he's paid plus he's always hurt. If he was willing to take a massive pay cut and be a backup then there's no problem. I just don't know if he's willing to do that.

Didnt the running game take off after Pouncey was out of the game?? Now maybe that was all of the other linemen saying I need to step up, but Brendel looked the part yesterday!

I agree. Good player for sure, but reliable counts as well and it's just too hard to justify his salary. Save the money and spend it to resign Landry.
