Rey, the difference maker?

He really shouldn’t be playing over Stephone Anthony considering we dumped a 5th comp for him.

Where was Rey Maualuga on the Devonta Freeman run for 40+ yards? Go back and watch that play. Watch it 5 times in slow motion. Any ILB with average agility should have stopped that play for a small gain. Yea, Rey the difference maker...for Atlanta.
You're right. They had one big run. The guy needs to be out of a job!

What's that tell you about Stephone Anthony then? He had a hard time grasping things in NO, I'm sure it's not any better here.

I vehemently disagreed with several people in the offseason who said that Timmons has lost a step. He's proving that he hasn't lost a step.
He's so athletic sideline to sideline covering guys or chasing ball carriers. Since he's been back we aren't getting carved up like a thanksgiving turkey on the short pass game nearly as much as we were.

Timmons has made the difference. After Suh, Wake and Jones, he is by far the most important player on D. He changes the entire defense.

Rey was a good addition, but his value is a lot more situational. It definitely does help having him be an option as a thumper.

Though I agree Timmons has been instrumental in the Dolphins D looking so much better, it does not have to be Timmons to see this defense look this good, if McMillan can come back, and be as good as I believe he can, it will serve us just as well or maybe even better.

I really hope Timmons honestly starts enjoying being in Miami, and is able to prove to the staff to keep him one more year, but if he is let go as I believe will happen, the D will still look as good or better if McMillan can come back and play.

Our LB group went from a weakness to a strength, that's for sure. Rey has been a very nice addition to the run defense, whereas Timmons has been outstanding all over the field. As a result, Kiko has been better.

Nice stop gap addition for McMillan. Gotta admit I didn't think he'd ever make it to suiting up after those belly photos came about.

You can't measure a defender's success by how many "big runs" the opposition has. Go watch this guy's 15 snaps and tell me if you think he should be on the field.

He has been a perfect addition for the base package. He is massive and takes on lead blocks to free up the other guys perfectly. Great add on.

I think it's more Timmons being back that has helped out the defense. But Rey hasn't been a liability when he has been subbed in.

But that's EXACTLY what you did on your previous post! You said "Where was Rey Maualuga on the Devonta Freeman run for 40+ yards?"

You can't use a fact as the basis for your argument, then discredit the same fact, and still hold your argument as valid. That's not how it works!
