Hes so inconsistent though. He has strings of great games followed by a weak game or 3
Miami is in the playoffs. And if I was a betting man I'd bet Miami gets the 6th seed. Just 2 games out from it. Bucks and Pacers in front of the Heat for That 6th seed

I feel sorry for the team that gives Willie Reed a multi year deal. Great effort and hustle guy, but he's pure garbage as a basketball player. I feel bad because he seems like a great dude.

11-30 and then go 30-11, second to the warriors for second half record. Winslow (couldn't shoot at all) went out, McRoberts, Waiters wasn't healthy. Didn't really know what the team had with James Johnson. McGruder was still developing, Ellington was injured. Babbit became useful. Once they grew together they became pretty good. If Whiteside played with the focus and intensity he has shown 65% of the time, the sky is the limit. Waiters bet on himself when signing a 1 year deal for 2+mill and won big. I really hope winslow can work on his shot and become half of what a once terrible shot K. Leonard was. Not sure what to look for in the draft, i'd assume a play making point foward who could fill the 3/4 role to be kind of what a James Johnson is to initiate offense, or a back up true point guard (dragic and JJ are the only good offensive initiators on the team, TJ and JR are pure SGs).
Very fun season. Wish we could see what Waiters could do in the playoffs with this team. For sure would have made it if he didnt go down. Interesting offseason coming, and I think you are forced to pay him because I'm not sure better options exist. The team built a brotherhood and because of that I have to trust that Waiters wouldn't sit on this contract.

True, but to ask an 11-30 team to go 30-11 after starting that way, i can't ask for any more wins. Broken from the opening and didn't realize it. Feel like chicago deserved it less despite the same record.
I guess we will start playing basketball in January again.

This team desperately needs a Pat Riley move to go down.
This group won't get further than a 5-6 game first round series at best. They're just not very good. Live and die by the three, and they don't play defense consistently well at all. Factor in no superstar to take games over and that's a recipe for the new Atlanta Hawks as our ceiling.
