Cutler vs. Tannehill Season-Long Comparison Thread

I don't think we are there yet with Tannehill or Marino. I think we need a few pieces on both sides of the ball and some identity and consistency on offense. Slow starts crippled us last year and unfortunately currently as well. This has to be fixed. Superbowl contenders win easy on occasion and win the games that count...we aren't there.

I think we are a contender with tannehill. AFC is wide open. I think Tannehill makes a huge difference in our offense

Absolutely it would have, no doubt.

That doesn't mean I think it would be an elite offense, it would be an above average offense that would be complementing an amazing defense. That's the same recipe almost any superbowl contender has every year.

Everybody has forgotten that our offense was quite inept the first 5 games last year as well. Not as disastrous as this year but...
The offense probably would be better with Tannehill but Superbowl? No. Playoffs (with the AFC so open) probably. But using Cutler as a baseline is a very low bar. Even with Moore we probably would have won at least one more game so far if not both losses turned into wins.
The big question mark with Tannehill this year would have been his ACL and how last year's injury would have affected him physically AND emotionally. It will be an even bigger question next year.

I'm thinking his mobility can make up for a lot of bad o-line play. His improved deep ball which proved to be a real force coupled with a much better defense. His rapport with this offense. Man the possibilities, I know he has to be sick not being out there.

It would be nice but cant help think we would then lose him for 2018 season. We need to sure up the line AGAIN this off-season.
