Chronic knee soreness may be slowing Jay Ajyai’s development

Don't know anything about that website, buy the article reads like a bunch of assumptions and filling in the blanks just to fabricate story from a non-issue.

He isn't showing any signs of slowing down. Granted coming up on the injury report is always concerning, but it hasn't carried through to the games.

What about Drake? Drake would make this offense more dynamic when Tannehill returns... He has good hands, runs great routes and he has great speed. My only concern is that he is not yet a polished blocker.
I think it's pretty clear too from what we've seen that he's not a feature back and probably never will be. Yes, he's fast, and he has some shiftiness, but he can't (and won't) run between the tackles - and at 210 pounds he wouldn't survive very long if he tried. No, we're going to need another option if Jay goes down...

I think the days of rest have more to do with Gase saying he will rest key players on certain days in some weeks because we lost our bye week. He's trying to limit exposure and keep them fresh as best he can while going 16 straight weeks.

I'm not worried and Ajayi is a stud.

I'm not too worried about the big hit, as much as I am his durability over the next few seasons. He doesn't have a lot of NFL mileage on him yet. Seemed like his knee issues came out at draft time. Never heard them while he was going off at Boise State.

Players adjust if their will is there, even when it comes to changing body a bit. Hell running between the tackles was to be a weak spot for Lamar Miller based upon his size and weight and he was more of a footwork person that wouldn't be able to juke NFL level talent.. we see how that turned out after developing.

Some quotes from his combine stuff:
He won't be able to juke linebackers at the next level or bail himself out of bad spots with his feet. He runs like a power back at times, which could be a liability in the NFL at his size.
