What are our Miami Dolphins writers expecting on Sunday when the Fins host the AFC East-rival New York Jets at Hard Rock Stadium?

That's the beauty about about division games. You're either trying to curb their revenge, or try to get your own revenge.

We deserve an epic win, ( I am sure Jets fans feel the same way). We've squeaked by with a few nail biting victories.

It would be nice to have that complete game against a rival. Give the home crowd something to talk about all week.

The Jets are much, much better than anyone predicted. Going to be a tough game. Cutler needs to pass for better than 3.5 per attempt. He's already been bested once by, ah-hem, Josh or Luke McClown or whoever that is back there w a career record of 5-32.

Yeah, I think Cutler and the passing game is the key for Miami. He doesn't necessarily need to light it up, but he needs to be efficient in the short passing game to keep drives alive. In essence, that short passing game will be much like a running attack.

The Dolphins will likely run the ball better than they did in the first contest against New York, but I don't expect them to dominate in the running game either. The Jets absolutely mauled the Dolphins guards and I don't know how that changes. Maybe that extra tight end helps a bit.

On defense, I think it will be much tougher for the Jets passing game. Miami made McCown look like a Hall of Famer a few weeks ago. Since then, Tankersley has taken over for Maxwell and the Dolphins have tightened up the coverage resulting in a much better pass defense.

Good post - yeah I can't bring myself to believe McCown actually played that good in a real game.

As much as I would like to see a blowout, these Dolphins are more likely to keep the Jets in the game and have some defensive heroics to stop a drive. I predict another heart wrenching, irritating victory for the Dolphins 18-17??? I also predict we will be falling down all over the beat up field, before we decide to wear the longer cleats.

Even before the Miami Hurricane vs. Syracuse game, the commentators have pointed how easily this turf will get sloppy.

I really feel like Devante Parker was going to be crucial in this game. We absolutely need to be able to stretch the field against them, if they're able to just play Ajayii all day it will be very similar to the first game. Stills is going to have to step up big or someone like Grant needs to finally emerge.

It's been raining all week. The field is in bad shape

I'm down here in South Florida and it seems like the weather tomorrow for kick off will be hot, hot and more hot. It might be overcast a little bit but it's going to be boiling. The Jets are facing a very different team tomorrow. 23-13 victory. We're not good enough on offense to route anybody but it has to be considered a good division win. Now we have to go out and do it!
