Cutler out with cracked ribs

There ya go. That's positive.

On a more serious note - is Fales still a dolphin? If Cutler isnt even healthy enough to be backup on Thursday the idea of Doughty seeing the field is..... alarming

No, he was cut, but I don't think anyone picked him up or he would need to be on their 53. Give him a call. Sign him for a few weeks.

Oh I am not sad at all to see Moore in and the entire O improving. But im not going to sit and cheer for any injury, was quite shocked to hear that.

Doubt they would be much worse than some of Jays performances.
In all fairness I don't think the cheering was necessarily for Cutler's injury. Most of us didn't even know what happened. We saw Cutler walking off and Moore walking onto to the field and that's when people cheered. In my section it was accompanied with "let's go Matt" and stuff like that.
The second (even louder) cheer happened when he actually walked towards the huddle.

If Moore beats the Ravens and Raiders and Miami goes 6-2, how do you disrupt that formula?

Fair enough, good point. perhaps that was just how it came across on tv then.

The huge boo for the run on 3rd and 15 (in an O that cant throw the ball) also surpised me. But it must be frustating to pay a fortune to watch some of our offensive play this year

It is frustrating. If you are 3rd and 15 and you don't even try to go for the first down it feels like giving up. Any good QB would challenge the one-on-one coverage.

I figured that it came through weird on TV.

If either Fales or Doughty sees the field the game is over. I could care less which one it is. Doughty may not do anything whereas Fales will throw 3 interceptions with the way he throws the ball. When you need your 3rd string on 4 days notice you get a guy who knows the system and hope for the best.

Moore can beat the Ravens and Raiders coming up....
So after traveling 100,000 light years in weeks 1-3, we play 3 prime time games in a row? Even with the hurricane WTF?

And we play the Pats 2x in 3 weeks then the Bills 2x in 3 weeks. Seriously what a colosal **** up you idiot schedule-makers.

I'm sure this thread will turn ugly soon. Hope Cutler gets back quick. Moore showed he deserves to play and start after today, but we need a backup.
Yes. I wholeheartedly hope he gets back quick and is holding a clipboard son.

I was hoping for more of a six week minor injury, but I'll take what I can get.

Yeah 2-3 week injuries are the worst when it comes to a QB who needs replacing. They miss one game, but then they throw a flak jacket on and play injured the week after, playing poorly but getting a pass because of their "toughness". Few teams are willing to do like Minny did with Bradford and sit a QB down if they can't do it. Understand I'm not wishing against Cutler's personal well-being but the guy was playing terrible on a team that had done well with a Tannehill who hadn't broken out before and a guy derided as a career backup. i think its best for this football team that Gase has an "out" from the QB controversy he created. Cutler was able to show what he is which is at best mediocre and uninspiring and at worst a guy who can be shutout two weeks in a row.

I hope Cutler is OK. Have a full and swift recovery Jay.

If that OL doesn't improve Moore will be joining Cutler in the trainers room soon enough. Moore isn't a spring chicken either, and he doesn't backpedal like Cutler. Remember that hit he took against Pittsburgh last year?

The Ravens are wounded but I think we have a chance against them. And this seems like a good time to play the Raiders, with Carr still a bit banged up and their defense in disarray. These might be good games for Moore to play. But, be wary of giveaways. Moore is a gunslinger in the truest sense of the word.

Here's Vince Wilfork with the injury update on Smokin' Jay.

Moore looked better than Cutler in the pocket and throwing the ball....frankly he looked more comfortable in the pocket.

Jay made some nice throws, and his contribution shouldn't be minimized....but he looks like he's getting an anxiety attack every time the blitz is coming at him.
