I have issues with Ajayi

I'd take Ajayi over any rb in the league, that includes bell, bell is more versatile but our lines have been bad to decent at best since ajayi has been here, not to mention the play calling. Haven't seen a rb with this kind of heart in a very long time. It's not that Ajayi can't catch the ball, it's that Gase's play calling is so vanilla he basically calls the same plays every game to the same small # of players. Good OC's get everybody involved, never see a pass to grant or drake so Ajayi definitely isn't getting any.

It's not players, its coaching, players can't do anything if never given a chance, the amount of unused talent on this team is really frustrating. Seeing grant and drake never get used as the versatile weapons they are in favor of Gase relying on Ajayi and Landry to carry him every game gets real old real fast. Never seeing the crappy starting guards replaced with a amazing run blocker in Asiata and Davis who has played really well as a backup when everybody knows the guards are the reason this OL struggles is equally frustrating, not to mention our best option is to run it with our beast rb and protect cutler. it's getting more and more obvious Pouncey is too injured to play at his level anymore, Brendel played great at backup center but once Pouncey is back Brendel doesn't get much pt again.

I understand the loyalty to Pouncey given his history but either sit him if he needs an extra week of rest to get truely healthy or let Brendel play if he's earned it.

There's no excuses for not replacing the guards with asiata and davis though, and never using drake or grant as versatile weapons, or never passing to ajayi. Its the same old story again and again, other teams know our coaches coach scared so they play accordingly, that is why we struggle with all the bad teams every year.

Ajayi is not the problem....the blocking(or lack thereof) is

Ozzy rules!!

I have issues with OP trying to take shots at probably the most important player / most talented player on the roster...

But, FinHeaven gonna FinHeaven....

I worried about Ajayi being one dimensional too, but I saw a few pass attempts go his way today. Christensen said Ajayi has shown significant improvement in the passing game, but still has some work to do.

Ajayiis lack of home run speed limits his value far more than his lack of receiving ability. That's the only thing separating him from leveon and zeke.

I have issues with our OL being terrible at run blocking. But that's just me.

Have you not been watching these games? They do switch out the rbs for passing downs and trick defenses into long run plays from Williams or a wheel from ajayi. Open eyes brah

There's at least a dozen teams in the league who would love to have Jay Ajayi right about now. Maybe more.

Yup even as a runner thats his one weakness, when he gets to second level chances are hes going down (not without a fight of course) from behind. But ill take it for sure.

Rather than admonish Ajayi, I think that the Jets are really good at stopping the run. Yes, Ajayi struggles for yardage against the Jets, but he ran really well last week against Atlanta. We weren't going to gash the Jets running the ball and a smart decision was made to do more passing.
They should be good at stopping the run, they had like 8 in the box on some of those running plays and still Gase forced the issue trying to establish the run early. Gase needs to take what opposing defenses gives him.

Very hard for a RB to have a big day on a field like that. You try to plant your foot to make a guy miss and - if you're lucky - you slide but stay on your feet and get buried. if you're unlucky, you faceplant and get a mouth full of knees.

Jets DL stuffed the run well, but the field made it twice as hard.

Ravens always known for making life hard in the box, but I think Ajayi will have a little more success this week.
