Phins @ Ravens discussion

Ravens are ravaged by injuries. How tough this game is going to be strongly depends on who suits up for them. Their top 3 WRs were out yesterday and they have injuries along the oline. Wake and co should go to town on Flacco.

we always think that and something else happens. Miami was shredded on defense, so they have an opportunity to clean things up. Misdirections and screens killed them and they need to make sure they stay disciplined/

Time to find out if the boys have the ability to go in there and step on a throat and not let off. Very winnable game.

Did he really call this the "***Official***" gameday thread? Don't do this here, we are better than that.

Miami will have a hard time with Baltimore, they always do. The Ravens out physical Miami year in- year out. Miami was punched in the mouth by the Jets and somehow found the heart to win.... I hope it spills over to this week as well. I see a Ravens team that is lost, injured, and going through the motions. Gase can capitalize on that carry on with what has won the past two weeks. It seems Miami is on the precipice.

Beating Baltimore will make me fully believe in the team this year. I’ve had my doubts all year including after three quarters yesterday.

This game depends on Flacco and whether or not he has one of those games against us. We've got to pressure him early and often. Do that and the secondary will have a shot at some picks, because he's an awful QB under pressure. Hell, IMO, he's an awful QB in general and has always been extremely overrated. We've just struggled to cover tight ends for a while and he always exploits us in that way.

This is a game we need to come out and grab the early lead. Make Flacco throw the ball and get some pressure on him. He will make mistakes.

The Ravens may be struggling right now but they still have one of the best head coaches in the league in John Harbaugh, so you better believe they will attack our weaknesses.

Tough road game on a short week. Hope we can pull it off.

We are going to see essentially the same gameplan they had last year.

They will try to do the same thing as the Jets, shut down Ajayi and our rushing game. Last year they held Jay to 60ish yards.

The only way we are going to be able to get some breathing room for Ajayi is if we throw downfield early and often. Our Oline just isnt capable of opening holes against a stacked box. Unlike the Jets though, the Ravens have an improved secondary this year, so airing it out is going to be risky. Its a damned if you do, damned if you dont situation here. We are going to have to take risks if we want to win this one.

On D, we need to cover their TEs and RBs. They exploited our D last year with passes in the middle of the field. Flacco came into last year's game on the hot seat, and here we are again....with Flacco on the hot seat.... We seem to be this guy's penicillin, that needs to change on Thursday.

Pitta is gone, but we still need to keep Watson in check. Hopefully we can improve from our performance against the Jets screen attack, we are going to see alot more of it on Thursday.

If we are going to make the playoffs, this is a team we must beat.

Dolphin fans have been saying 'this isn't the same Ravens team' since like '03 and they always step up when we play. They are decimated by injuries but if they can get the running game going (pick the gap Alonso is responsible for), then the intermediate passing game opens up (pick the guy Alonso is covering), then it could be a repeat performance of the playoff thumping. (I like Alonso but he was absolutely dreadful yesterday. I'd assume Harbaugh noticed.)

I like our chances more than usual but they play us tough 100% of the time. Throw the ball downfield a little bit, get the safeties out of the box, get Ajayi going ... that's the ticket on offense. Stay aggressive, blitz their backup o line, and don't let Flacco dink and dunk you to death is how I'd approach the D.

Thursday night games are always tough for the visiting team. Even with Ravens' issues, I expect them to win. Hopefully its still entertaining.

2 bits of good news. Dennis Pitta and Zach Orr aren't Ravens this year. In last year's game Pitta had 9 catches for 90 yards and 2 TDs while Orr had 10 tackles and 3 assists.

Harbaugh is my biggest concern. He's a genius when it comes to game planning and making adjustments. He will absolutely exploit the weaknesses that we've done a great job of hiding with the defense. Just gotta hope the pass rush can negate that.

They single handedly destroyed us with Dennis Pitta last season, and it opened the door for the one big play to I believe Perriman. That piece of **** QB threw for close to 400 yards with 4 TDs.

Cam Wake needs another great performance this week.
