I spied with my little eyes...(My game recap)

Honorable mention to Jordon Phillips, he was balling today.

And that missed tackle when he went for the strip, the announcers were beating him up like crazy, if he knocks the ball out they would have been showering him with superlatives. There were 4-5 other defenders there that should have made the tackle anyway.

Nice job on the write up Outlawd!!!! You did leave out McCain, who make the game winning pick and Timmons, who was amazing all day. One thing for sure, if Cutler stayed in we'd be 3-3 and swept by the Jets. Go with Matt Moore, the offense works with him in there.

I also want to add that Bowles helped us out at the end too. He called 2 (maybe 3) time outs on our last drive after the interception with the hopes of getting the ball back. One was right after Ajayi lost 5 yards with like 40 seconds left. His use of their time outs allowed us 2 more plays to gain yardage and give Parkey a shot. If he doesn't call those timeouts, we call our last one after Ajayi loses 5 yards because its like a 50+ FG on a horrible field and HAVE to complete a sideline pass in order to gain some yardage to get Parkey in position for a makable FG.

Jordan Phillips was Jordan Phillips. A few splash plays where he looks like a monster and then misses a tackle or gets single blocked as they put a big run up the gut.

Bad play by the o-line will make ANY play call look bad. I didn't see a lot of WR screens so that was good. I liked the bootlegs and RB screens. No way I am bashing Adam Gase at this point. 4-2

Ted Larsen can not get back soon enough. Steen was not good.

Jay Cutler already seemed to be nervous in the pocket at times. How is he going to be after getting his ribs cracked? Moore showed much better mechanics under pressure. Moving around and resetting his feet before he stepped into throws. Cutler is still throwing off balance too often.

Jets did a good job of using motion to misdirect Reshad Jones and get him away from the play. Saw that more than a few times but he still had a decent game.

Tank gave up a few td's but the one was perfectly thrown. He's young and it will happen.

One negative was the susceptibility of the D to the screen pass. Burke made adjustments as the game went on, but it will be worth watching to see how much other teams test us with it. O coordinators are ruthless when a vulnerability is exposed...

I know that an aggressive, upfield charging d is going to give up some screens but some of the early plays looked like the Jets had 3 extra guys and we were short two on the field.

Don't forget about Lawrence Timmoms......he had one hell of a game too.
Play calling is way to predictable.....lacks aggressiveness.
Both TEs seem to show up today......was pleasantly surprised

agree on timmons and the tight ends....great to see them being utilized.

disagree on the playcalling - notice today we didn't call any WR screens to my recollection, and both QBs had YPAs over 8.5+....so I don't think we lacked aggressiveness one bit on Sunday.

It's pretty obvious to me, these guy's play harder for Moore. I just don't think they like JC.

That is a huge difference IMO as well. Cutler really didn't play that bad. I didn't think so anyways. They didn't game plan for Moore and Moore had nothing to lose going in down by 14. Props to Moore and thank you for winning the game for us. I just don't think the Cutler criticism is fair this week. I thought he played his best game. Jamal Adams is a total stud and someone I wish we had but we cannot get on Cutler for Muhammed Wilkerson getting an Int lol Two great players making two great plays is how I see it. If Cutler played like he did yesterday against the Jets the first time and the Saints, we may be 6-0. 12-16 138 yds 2tds and 1 int is actually a good game. 75% with a 114.1 rating is a stellar game for any QB. I think we should give Cutler a break this week (pun intended) (:

I don't know man. Moore has his limitations, and I just don't buy into the fact that he's been a career backup for no reason. That being said though he has a gun slinger mentality and WILL take shots. After seeing this BS for 5 games of 2 yard passes on 2nd or 3rd and long it's refreshing to see someone actually competing and trying to get the first down.

Ya there's a reason he's a backup and obviously content doing so. In his defense, he'll leave this league without CTE and a nice chunk of change sitting on the bench. Browns, Jets, Jags, Broncos, 49ers are teams Matt Moore could win the job for. I just don't think he ever wanted to. Maybe, we're just lucky to have a loyal QB that is always ready when called upon. It always seemed odd Moore never started anywhere or tried after we clearly got Tannehill to take his spot. Either way, Thank you Matt Moore!!! 4-2 without RT. This season is anyone's and of course Ryan gets hurt lol We're in the playoffs as of now!! (: PHINS UP!!

For me, the big thing is Cutler is always falling away from his throws. The few times he stood in and delivered a dart it looked beautiful. Not sure why he always backs away, well other than not wanting to get hit, but it leaves alot of his passes short. If he could stop that he would be much more accurate. The reason Tannehill and Moore always seem to throw into spots better is they aren't falling backwards as they throw, stand in and take a hit but complete the pass. I know alot of this is because Jay feels pressure but he would be much better served stepping up and throwing in a dirty pocket instead of what he does alot of the time.
