The Official Post Game Report

Thanks for the support Finheaven brothers! The post game thread is always a blast when we win the game. I kept telling the people I was watching the game with that before this is over the Dolphins are going to get a turnover that wins us the game. I had to wait for it all game but the important thing is that we got the turnover and won the game. The Pats are 5-2 and we're 4-2 and have played one less game. Too bad the Falcons couldn't do much last night, a Patriot loss would have put us in sole possession of first place in the AFC East. On to the Ravens....

You should put THE FIELD under the bad column. It made more tackles than some of the Defense. Although im old skool and all weather conditions were the norm it's not acceptable that a modern NFL game should be played on such a poor surface.

Well I through down the gauntlet and so far no one has come forth so since I started this I'll do tonight"s. I'm hoping one of our experts takes it from here.

The Good: We won the game and that is great and we are tied for first place with the hated Patriots. Tune in tonight to root for the Pats to lose at home to the Falcons. The AFC East can be had this year, of course, dozens of things have to go right.

We avoided getting swept by the Jets.

Bobby McCain, who gets hammered pretty good on this site, won the game for us by making an interception that gave us the ball and the win.

Parkey, the guy seems like Mr. Cool, I'm loving the guy but he hasn't lost us a game yet.

Stills- excellent game for Stills, who has great chemistry with Tannehill and Moore and zero with Cutler.

Landry-what a passionate player, pay the man, are you kidding???

Matt Moore-he came in and was freaking awesome. He won the game for us and he won the hearts of all the fans, at least for today.

Wake-is he getting younger and faster??? He was flying around the corner like a man possessed.

Suh-he was a force all day

Jones-he was everywhere making big plays, if he isn't voted to the Pro Bowl it's just wrong.

Timmons-anybody see 94 kicking the hell out of the Jets all day, wow?

The Bad: we had life and death with a team that we should have beaten with ease.

Cutler's Intercepton-the pass that he threw at the one yard line that got tipped up in the air and picked off was an example of why Cutler will kill you dead if you give him enough reps. The guy is not a good fit in our offense. I was of the mind that given a few more games everything will click with Cutler but then you see Moore come in cold and put the team on his back and lead us to a great victory. If Cutler stayed in we would be 3-3 and we would have been swept by the Jets.

The O-Line-just no running room and their getting our QB's killed. So the bottom line is they didn't run block very well and they didn't protect the QB very well. The O-Line is making things tough out there.

Pass Defense- receivers are running wide open for east TD's.

My attempt to do a post game report-I had to list this under the bad

Under "bad," I'll put Gase. Still wants to run with 9-in-the-box, still hasn't thought much of roll outs - moving the pocket, still predictable in 1H. It certainly appeared NY came in with a gameplan. Miami, . . . not so much.

OTOH, I put Burke in the "good" group. Actually looked like he made in-game adjustments. Called an aggressive game.

Nice sum up.
Regarding tank; initially several comments that he cant hit and could not support the run defence. Is that panning out to be the case?

If you are grading for his role as playcaller, dont you have to give credit to putting up 31 points? Even if you say the D was responsible for the final 3, that's pretty good output...especially with your 2nd and 3rd choice for QB...

Beyond that, any time that Burke gets credit, Gase gets credit. He's the HC. He handpicked Burke to be Joseph's successor. Just like if Burke sucks, Gase will get blame for the hire...

Nope. 17 were when he was forced out his game plan. Look, I'm not against Gase, but his game plan/play calling has to improve

I see the game plan of a coach who does not trust his QB or pass protection fully...who knows his D has been playing well and keeping them in games and has a Running game that can dominate at times. He believes they can win if the game is close.

When The O came together last year, Gase called a much more aggressive game. If the oline stabilizes and Moore plays with intelligent aggressiveness I expect we'll see a similar evolution.
