What would this offense look like with Kaepernick?

I don't think we are terribly far apart with our thoughts on that subject. I differ with you a little on his ability to contribute to a team If he's given the right structure for his talents. Heck, it took a last play of the game stop for us to seal a victory against him and the 49ers last season! I'm not saying it was all on him or the 49ers for that matter but the guy made some plays in that game. Almost made one that would have given them the victory.

I do understand what you what you were attempting to covey much better now and I respect your stance. Tebow could have still been in the league. He chose to say no about the possibility of changing positions when he was being considered by a few teams. Michael Sam? I feel that would have been less of a circus than dealing with Colin. My knowledge of his play is limited but you're probably right in saying that he is talented enough to be on a roster.....

That SF game from last year is exactly what I am talking about.....the passing QB won and the QB who can't pass tried to win with his legs. Tannehill was the better QB that day by far and Colin won't face a bad run defense like we had last year every game.

I am not saying that we should have signed Colin and the logic of why we didn't makes sense to me. Can you honestly say that none of the other QBs who have starting jobs don't suck? I mean, Kaep isn't even backup caliber? Come on Man....
you think kaep wouldve gone to a team to be a back-up - cmon man - i truly believe he thinks he is in the best position for his "activism"...

Did he get asked? How much does Matt Moore make per year? We really don't know what he would have accepted, do we?

I think not signing Kaepernick was a mistake. I know he's limited, but he makes a lot of big plays with his ability to get out of the pocket and run with the football. This offense could use some big plays.

I thought I saw somewhere that he didn't want to be a backup.

I haven't seen anything like that at all. Not saying that isn't the case. Just saying that I don't think he's been offered anything or even seriously considered for that matter. If someone offered him Matt Moore type money to be a backup, I think he would consider it. Shoot, if they offered him half that he'd consider it....

Nope he wasnt even considered...I truly believe he is happiest right where he is...

First, was that Colin? No?

Second, because Ray Lewis said they would have signed him that makes it true? Show me where the team said that.

You really sound like you just don't like the guy. That's your prerogative. Fact is that no one has formally made an offer or really seriously considered him....

I give you proof but your argument falls apart with the truth, so you belittle the proof. What would motivate Ray to lie about this?? Ray supports Kaep, but based upon the last year or so of his career Kaep is more relavant off the football field, and he knows it.

And where is your proof that no one has seriously considered adding Kaep!!!

What proof? A statement from the owner of the Ravens, Ray Lewis? OK....

The biggest issue with Kaepernick is that he isn't talking to anyone. Instead, we have others talking on his behalf or making assumptions about what they think may be going on in his head. Until he speaks for himself, all of this conjuncture about his wants, desires and needs is total crap. Let the guy live his life and if there is still a place for him in the NFL, let him figure it out on his own terms. Until then, all this hyperbole is wasted time.

wait, Kap made it to a superbowl right? How many superbowls Jay Cutler, Ryan Tannehill, and Matt Moore been in? Im just sayin, lets not act like the man isnt talented.

That is why the Dolphins are drafting Baker Mayfield.

I think this might be my favorite highlights film ever.

After watching Dolphins QB's with zero pocket presence for so long, this is just so refreshing.

I wouldn't rule out anything at this point. Miami is in a bigger rebuild than many of us thought, on both sides of the ball. Gase may want to get his quarterback, depending on how strongly he feels about Tannehill.

I honestly think the Dolphins will draft a quarterback, but I think it will be a mid-round player.

Here's what it would look like with Kaepernick:

1st Down and 10:
Kaepernick hands off to Damien Williams, who is hit 2 yards behind the line of scrimmage and goes down immediately for a 2 yard loss.

2nd Down and 12:
Kaepernick drops back to pass, immediately gets pressured, evades the guy the guard let through and then get sacked by the guy the tackle couldn't block for a 7 yard loss.

3rd Down and 19:
Kaepernick sprints out to his right with the option to pitch to Drake, who is covered, so Kaepernick keeps it, makes a tremendous move, gains 12 yards and pats himself on the back.

4th Down and 7:
Haack Punts.

Next series he is hurried and tries to make something happen, leading to an INT. End of game, he has scored very few points, pissed off entire communities in the press conference, divided the team, alienated the coaching staff and owner, and despite his utter lack of productivity somehow convinces certain announcers and journalists like Omar that there is a legitimate QB controversy when Tannehill returns.

Then, when we do not offer him a contract past this year, we become horrible people. Well, more horrible than we already seem with our former OL coach's antics, our stopgap LB's antics (Oh I mean this week's LB, not the dude who boarded a flight to visit his old team), and the coaching staff that threw a top RB under the bus before throwing him away for a song.

That's how I think it would have gone.
