Gase vs. Shula...

Uh, in fairness to Namor, I have heard EXACTLY the same comments about Shula's time at Bama from tons of other people, including Auburn fans. "Good guy, bad head coach."

Why would Auburn fans be an authority on how the Bama coach handled his business??

Do you guys have any idea how absurd you sound??

This drivel is not believable or credible in any way, and it's not funny any more. No more time for this.

For anyone who interested in reality, try this...https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_Shula

Ok..then..explain this...Mike is 53 years old...been around a LONG time...his last name is SHULA..yet he has barely had his name mentioned
for any head coaching jobs...the only one ever has been HERE....
He is such a great head coach ,everybody is scared to hire him...Is that what your preaching?
You sir...are posting drivel...

Do you really want to compare QBs? Theirs currently vs. Jay Cutler? Their overall Offense vs. ours? Their overall Defense vs. ours?

Be respectable and take your L and be done with it.

And those are the first couple that popped up - no research.

All of them have the Jets finishing last in the East, and finishing lower than the Browns. I can spend some time proving a WIN. I just said that Bowles has done an outstanding job of coaching nothing to four wins - including one over your favorite team. I said nothing about comparing individual players or sides of the ball. I said the Dolphins dropped the ball on Todd Bowles - AN OPINION of mine - and I was commenting on the fact that they have won 4 games using a 38 years old qb not comparing him to our crappy 34 year old qb - but hey man, if that should be considered a loss - then a loss it is.

Head back to elementary school and learn how to read the English language - and no, not being "respectable" to someone who is disrespectful!!

Sorry mods, if I didnt post those articles properly...

Gase and Bowles both suck.

After seeing how we beat Jets at home Gase should have known better than to go for points against Carolina at the end of the first half especially considering they're the NFL's #1 ranked defense and the way Cutler was throwing the ball. That's how we beat the Jets... Bowles was trying to get points backed up in the red zone. McCown threw a pic to Bobby McCain, the only difference is in Bowles he had more of a reason to make that call because you never know who would win the coin toss in overtime.

You could argue both of those pics were on the quarterback Cutler and McCown. Fact of the matter is the calls were made both by a couple of dumb coaches that made the same stupid mistake with their handpicked JAG journeyman quarterbacks. I guess you could make the argument for Gase that his quarterback went down before the season, so you have to kind of him a break for that.

But, if you take a look at the Jets forums the majority of fans want Bowles outta there for not addressing the quarterback situation after having Fitzpatrick in there for 2 years. So what do they do this year? Decide to not draft a QB, and bring in McCown and naming him the starter despite having an "open competition" allowing their younger QBs Christian Hackenberg, and Bryce Petty to have a chance at the job. It seems to me like Bowles was just trying to save his ass from being fired this year, and that's why so many Jets fans are pissed. Everyone knew they weren't a playoff team yet they are too stubborn to even play Petty and Hackenberg this year to see if they are the answer before going into the 2018 draft.
