Dolphins expect changes, with some prominent players at risk

Garbage time!

A team should possess the ball less during garbage time, when the opposing team is running the ball to shorten the game, and the team itself is hardly running the ball at all

I realized that I'm watching this game with an unfamiliar, oddly detached, cavalier attitude; I've not had such an unemotional stake in a Fins game since I can remember. Even back in 07, I remained invested with each game rooting against us going winless. That's not the case here as we have some wins under our belt but are going nowhere fast except possibly Embarrassville.

No gut-wrenching over the porous OL, the poor LB play, arbitrary penalties, questionable playmaking calls, making Fitz look like a first-stringer or even over Cutler's predictable interceptions. It's strange but for the first time, not even a little piece of me dies with any of this cluster****eration. It's an apathetic "it would be nice if we win but really in the grand scheme of things WGAS WGAF and let's get reinvested in the offseason including cleaning house in the front office".

Damn this team for snatching away my passion!

One would think, but the Dolphins' offense has possessed the ball in 2017 only a minute and two seconds less per game than the average team.

Sure feels like a lot less doesn't it?

I’ve always felt Branches contract was a 2 years deal with a good possibility he’d be cut after 2018. But his atrocious play this year could give cause to end it after this season and absorb the dead money. The only contract worth restructuring is Tannehill’s because they could save between $8m-$10m if the restructuring is done right. But Thomas, James and Timmons are all gone IMHO. That’ll help open up cap room. Wake is beginning to show aging signs and Miami may be wise to look at moving on or lessening his role in 2018, if a DE is drafted high. I think Miami has some developmental players in Jesse Davis, who’s played well these last 2 weeks as a starter. Eric Smith I think can develop into the starter at RT and Asiata need to somehow find a way to win that starting RG spot. He needs a good off season program to get himself ready. I didn’t agree with the contract given to McDonald, but it is what it is. Lippett’s return to health is key IMO moving forward, if he does come back healthy it could be a boon for the defense. But it’s looking like DE, RB and OL are all in play round 1 come April 2018.

Oh I’ve got plenty of time. I pulled a Nate Allen yesterday and tore my calf

Hey Brochacho, class three strain by any chance. If so, might want to have a Doppler done, make sure there are no DVT's floating around. Usually it is "standard of care" but sometime the fine insurance companies "forget".

Personally, I'm of the opinion Landry can be replaced. Limited touchdowns and short receptions for his career with us. Yes that could change, but I'm not willing to pay him over 12 million per year to find out. Take our comp pick for losing him and move on. I want to see them feature Carroo the last part of this season so we know what we have. His skill set is somewhat similar to Landrys
Lol, Do you even watch football. Landry is definitely worth 12 mil. Gase is why Landry is catching short stuff cause we have no QB. Carroo is a pure bust. Parker is Slow and don't help Landry. If we had a true #1 WR. Landry would be a beast. Parker sucks. He is no threat to a Defense

I never really take a debate seriously when the first thing thrown out is an insult but what the heck, i'm bored right now. Landry has caught short routes his entire career over 2 head coaches. Landry's problem is that he is very limited in the routes he is capable of running and wants to turn inside far to often for an elite receiver. I like his emotion, how physical he plays, and he has shown an increase in his touchdowns this year. I question his knowledge of the wide receiver position as I feel he was one of the players Gase was talking about after the Baltimore game when he said that players aren't studying the playbook properly. Some of the routes he runs support his lack of commitment in that regard. The really frustrating part is that he could be a top 10 receiver in this league if he ever put it all together and i'm simply not willing to pay someone that kind of money with that kind of question to his game. Putting this all on the coach or QB is just completely ignoring the game film.

Parker is the best pure Wide Receiver we have on this team and that isn't really up for debate, his big problem is his health. When healthy he completely changes the offensive gameplan as he opens up so much of the field. He requires the defense to play an extra safety and drop off the line of scrimmage. Carroo very well may be a bust may be a bust but he flashed some nice things in the Baltimore game and I would like to see what he has in the last 6 games of the year. He doesn't play special teams and if he is not going to be a top 3 wide receiver on this team than he needs to be off the roster completely.

I would incourage you to do homework before insulting someones knowledge on the game and come prepared with actually facts instead of just emotional opinion. If Landry can show in the last part of the season that he has expanded his knowledge of the offense, I would love to pay him. I just value precise route running over pure emotion. To me, Pierre Garcon is exactly the type of wide receiver this team under Adam Gase is missing. He is sure handed and creates seperation through his route running.

We need to use these last 6 games to find out who is going to be on the roster next year, certain veterans should be on notice the rest of the year.

I think branch is tbe one they are regretting the most right now

I think it’s the worst contract on the team now that b max is no longer on it

I’d bet money that Landry gets 5 and 65 on the market
Agree on Branch and I don't understand their fascination with Alonso. He is deficient in every category important at LB.

Here's the problem: We are getting absolute GARBAGE production out of the TE position right now. We simply can't go into 2018 with Julius Thomas and Anthony Fasano as our primary tight ends. So where is the production going to come from? A 3rd round TE in what is considered a not-so-great TE draft class? And if we sign Landry, we certainly won't be going after a top free agent TE.

I mean, there's still Duarte on the practice squad, but if he can't even crack the 53 man roster right now, that's probably just a waste of time.
I think you will see a complete overhaul at TE.

So, we only lose an extra 2 mil or so to cut Branch? What about future dead money? Honestly I would consider it. Pouncey needs to go and if we keep him.... someone needs to get booted. HE IS DONE.
Pouncey should have been gone 2 seasons ago. I keep saying this. When he was “healthy” he was still only above average, never elite. Time to part ways with this dude. I don’t want him in aqua and coral anymore.
