Post Game Thoughts - Succaneers

Why no bashing of the dline on the final drive?

Where has Wake been? Or even Branch? Only players I see with constant pressure is the Rookie & Suh.

2 buc rookies on offense basically out classed our defense Howard in the 1st half....Godwin on the final drive.

Side note GodChaux seems like the real deal

-We lost 6 points directly from poor officiating. 4 point on the Fasano TD and 2 points on the safety. The game would have been very different in the 4th quarter had Miami been winning 26-20.
-Only 1 interception was Cutler's fault, but he still played like absolute garbage.
-Damien Williams is the exact opposite of Ajayi. He will follow the play, but if nothing there, he just goes down like a brick.
-It looks like Gase has never practice short yardage situations before. We had no special personnel package, no go-to play, and we had to waste a timeout deciding on a play.
-I saw Pouncey get pushed around quite a bit when McCoy took an inside gap.
-Burke is getting a better feel at when to call blitzes
-I'll just copy and paste last week's comment: Jermon Bushrod, Ted Larsen, Mike Pouncey and JaWuan James can all GTFO of Miami

If Gase goes back to Cutler next week, I think I might be done supporting him. I could see the energy this team found when Moore became the QB. I'll take Matt Moore's reckless play over Jay Cutler's ineptness any day. If Gase goes with Cutler next week, I'm sticking a fork in him. I can't support a coach so stubborn and unwilling to change when it's so obvious his plan hasn't worked.

What about his third interception where he threw into triple coverage? Cutler sucks.

You're right about Cutler sucking, but that INT wasn't on him. The WR should have pulled that ball in instead of playing patty cake with it. Cutler has no anticipation though.

The ball hit the receiver in the hands, and popped out of his hands. I'm not a fan of Jay Cutler, but let's blame him for things he's actually done wrong. Like the second INT, which was an awful decision.

I’m just gonna pop in and then I’m gonna pop out got other games to watch

The top grade goes to the offensive play calling. It was excellent.

The presnap penalties and the qb execution again the major fail.

On o it looks like to me right guard if it’s not Asiata a tight end piece tanny qb insurance with upside and a lead running back the major need.

On d I think you are gonna see a lot of status quo.

The lb level looks like it will be continued development of Anthony and Allen and Raekwon return. Only potential change i see is timmons but I’m doubting it...

The 3 WRs are proving their value. Don’t break it up

We got the result we needed frankly. The o leaves for the second week in a row tons of points on the board

Here’s to a top 12 pick after this week

I still think it’s time to play the younglings. Let them get reps. Asiata, Duarte, pull kids from the PS to see what’s worth keeping. Go full rebuild not half assed rebuild where they plug and play spots putting lipstick on a pig.

With bushrods injury you got a solid chance Asiata is active next week at minimum

It depends on if they feel Jesse Davis at right guard paired with Sam young at right tackle is a better option.

Which they may

I like Davis more at tackle than guard to date.

Duarte isn’t even a consideration barring injury my read on it.

Right now brendel and Davis look like carry kids next year. Possibly Eric smith also.

Which leaves if pouncey comes back right guard the only real question.

Sam young will be on tbe street and only called back if a guy stinks up the joint or an emergency

He shouldn’t have thrown into that much traffic. That pick was on him.

Duarte can’t be any worse than what’s on the field right now. I say start Gray and Duarte at TE and see where it goes. Sticking with what they got at that position and not seeing what they got with their other players is stupid. This season is a wash, I’m sick of seeing Thomas and Fasano provide nothing for this offense.

There’s traffic but that pick is on dvp. Just like the fumble was on juice who carried the top grade in the game.

The first int balls thrown behind dvp that’s on the qb the 2nd was woeful

Cutler can’t take any contact but boy were guys open all game long despite the pre snap penalties the qb execution is just not there

Dvp has a 3rd down and long pylon out route that’s 6 if moore just throws the damn ball on his body. He toe taps that. We overthrow 6 foot freaking 3 with a rediculous catch radius

Stills had the corner stacked on a move the pocket vertical and the safety angle beat it he just doesn’t underthrow it

And that’s just Matt Moore.

A couple of things. The play calling can not be consider good today and here's why. Again, other than the 69 yard run by Williams we had 18 rushes for 16 yards and most were up the middle on first down. How is that good play calling when everyone can see is not working?
And #2, stop blaming Cutler for the last INT. The football hit Parker right on his hands. That should have been a catch. Only bias people would blame Cutler for that and I'm not a Cutler fan but lets be fair
About the play calling, I'm not saying that every play that didn't work was a bad play but running up the middle has not worked all year and yet he kept on calling it

Ozzy rules!!

There’s guys open all over the damn place and people complain about play calling.

I just don’t get it. We showed them so many different looks their heads were spinning

Execute at qb despite the damn penalties and you are scoring points

Today at least.

Don’t like the 4th and short call get a real damn rb to run the ball inside with there.

Even when rushing the ball is ineffective at creating a lot of yardage, there are still reasons to run the ball.
I have no problem with running the ball but why always on first down up the middle when it's not working? Run a reverse. Run outside. Anything different but running the same play that hasn't worked all day on first down is bad. That's part of the reason we were on 3rd and long so many times

Ozzy rules!!
