Dolphins Steamed at Refs

While I agree the officials were poor today, they played a sloppy sloppy game and should have won by double digits if they played with any sort of discipline. The lack of discipline lately has been concerning to me. It is just insane the amount of pre-snap penalties we have been taking lately.

No Ajayi, and we're 0-2 in close games, after going 4-0 in close games with Ajayi. Sure, officiating ... sounds good.

Interesting about the spot on the Williams 4th down run. Did it look like he got a bad spot? Replays were rare and I don’t remember seeing a replay on that play.
Spotting the ball is my big beef. It is so arbitrary. You really trust a guy to put a ball on the exact spot where it is supposed to be. We need some kind of "goal line technology" they are using in soccer. The errors of referees are now so obvious with HD TV and all that technical stuff. The days that they got away with errors because of grainy analog pictures are over.

That was the worst officiated game I have ever seen. The safety and PI cost us the game for sure. It doesn’t excuse the 16 penalties that were legit. It doesn’t excuse an offense that had 3 plays to get one yard, and couldn’t do it. It doesn’t excuse making Fitzpatrick look like Brady on the final drive. It doesn’t excuse 4 turn overs.

If we are honest the refs did us a favor. This team isn’t going any where, and they moved us up a spot or two in the draft.

I don't know if I agree with it being as sloppy as it seemed. There were a lot of phantom calls that were huge in this game. OPI on Thomas? Non-safety call were two big ones. The holding call on the big play downfield to Landry...fake.

It's games like this were the NFL loses fans. It looks very fixed.

they need to get rid of the calls that don't affect the outcome of the play.

Refs are dumbasses. They were given their weekly script of how Goodell and his cohorts wanted the outcome of the game to go. Usually their directives involve more scrutiny of the disfavored team/less attention to the violations of the team the league would prefer comes out on top. These calls were so obviously egregious (again) that even the biggest conspiracy doubters (and I've been heralding the reality of fixed games for years) can't overlook how one-sided the zebras were. This has happened before to us and the fact that the league could get away with this bullshit with very little blowback I guess enabled them to realize their refs could become even more flagrant in their fixes without fear of repurcussions.

Given all the foregoing, it remains that this team is far too pathetic on its own merits to overcome crooked refereeing.

As we should be.... terrible game. Not that we deserved to win or we would have but we deserve an explanation for this crap

We could put together a highlight film of bad calls for this year

I have been seeing this for quite a few years now. Had the fins not fired Philbin, I would have cancelled Sunday Ticket and stepped away for a bit. Most of it resulted around the lack of consistency of officiating not just around the league but in the game. It is so bad now, I am contemplating how pointless it is to watch on game day. It might be a better buy to just get game pass and watch after the fact.

Yeah I don't watch nearly as much football as I used to. Last season I was Dolphins games, some Pats games and the night games this year I'm Dolphins games and very few night games. Thursday and Monday do nothing for me and I'll take a WWE PPV over Sunday night football any day of the week. There are just too many bad games, stoppages, replays, penalties, injury timeouts etc.. Football is fine when the game is moving otherwise it's boring as hell and so is the same teams winning year in and year out.

I used to consider Sundays untouchable and get pissed at my wife if we had plans. Now I really don't care either way.
