You make a good point, but IMO Gase = Philbin 2.0, so it seems like there has been no change. Gase admitted that he prefers the short pass based offense; there are WAY too many throws short of the 1st down marker or behind the line of scrimmage. Gase also said that he told the OC to remind him to keep running the ball if it's working because he'd rather call a short pass... same as Philbin. When they are able to throw downfield what success they have is not sustainable because Cutler sucks and the the o-line is pathetic. On defense, Coyle = Joseph = Burke; they're all ex-Bengals position coaches and they all run a similar ineffective defensive scheme.
So yes, it is time for a coaching change because what Miami has been running for the past 6 years under Philbin/Gase is not working. And, Tannenbaum and the Front Office personnel need to be replaced too!

We kept Tenenbaum around for no apparent reason we promoted a guy that been with the organization for quite a long time and seemingly had very little effect on the overall outcomes.
