What would this offense look like with Kaepernick?

We couldn’t be any worse, right?

We sit bottom of most offense stats, including points scored. Now CK is not a great passer by any means, but I think he would probably be doing a better job than Cutler has done to date. Not saying we should have signed CK, but I don’t see how he could have been worse... well, I suppose our points per game could always be lower but that would take another level of genius (or ineptitude) to achieve that...

That is why the Dolphins are drafting Baker Mayfield.

I think this might be my favorite highlights film ever.

After watching Dolphins QB's with zero pocket presence for so long, this is just so refreshing.

At least Grant wouldn't be the shortest player on the team

LOL...You know your team has jumped the curb, when Kaep's name is mentioned...

would it still be in the bottom of the league?

I think his mobility would have masked a lot of the OL problems and he just has to be more accurate than the malfunctioning carnival ride that is Jay Cutler’s arm.

In hindsight, (even though many of us even thought so at the time) Kaepernick would have been a better pick up at the time. He had more upside, would come cheaper, could compete with Moore, and if he did well could have become a tradeable asset. The political stuff would have dissipated quickly once season started, was a stupid reason to stay away.

Well, there is no way to really know how good or bad Kap would have been to the offense, even if he does have some talent, and might have brought a bit more to the offense then Cutler or even Moore.

The thing is though, even more important then how he would have been on offense, it's what he would have done to the locker-room, and outside of the game that would have made the decision to not bring him in...a plain genius decision.

The guy is a cancer (whether you want to believe it or not), and he would have divided the locker-room from day one...if you think Miami is bad now, try watching a team that does not look like a team, but as individuals, angry at each other.

Miami for all it's fault this year, still does show no quit at the end, does still show they have each others back...put a QB like Tannehill that does his job quietly with the type of team we have been watching this year, and this is now the top team for the wildcard, and a thorn scratching at the Pats all year (I can only think of two games where Tannehill would not have helped).

Kap does not just destroy this season, he destroys all that Gase had worked to create from last year, and puts Miami into another 2-3 years before they reach this point again.

Do you have any evidence that some of his Kap's teammates hated him in 49ers because of his political stance? I haven't seen anything of the sort, even from those who disagreed with his protest or politics. Cutler is a Trump supporter, Kenny Stills is a BLM protestor. They seem to get along fine in a professional sense. I think you are very much exaggerating the effect Kap's political baggage would have on the lockerroom. Heck, there are already 3 players that kneel every week, we haven't heard anything about a fractured lockerroom because of those players...

In 2015, by multiple accounts, The 49ers dumbed down the playbook for him as far as they possibly could, but still allegedly it was not enough. So maybe considering all our homegrown dumbasses, he might just fit right in.\

Aside from that, we'd have the distinction of having the designated "Citizen of The Year" as proclaimed by the same outfit that in the past comparably honored Louis CK, Harvey Weinstein and Kevin Spacey. So there's that too. (oh, and screw JJ Watt who raised $37mil in relief donations for the people of Houston)

Last year/This year there were/have been countless articles that show some players were with Kap, and some were not...never said hated, it does not need to be hate to put players on two different sides, why do you think they say do not talk politics with anyone including friends .

Last year some players did kneel along with Kap, and other did not want any part of it. In this happen, it proves that it has become a big deal, if it wasn't, this would not have grown to as big an issues as it has.

Last year, people on that organization admitted it was a distraction to the team. A distraction is a very good way to get a team to not play up to highest level.

This off-season, the 49ers that had no real QB, released a QB like Kap that had talent, and helped them a while back to go to a Superbowl.

The issue is not who did you vote for, or which political party is better, the issue is, should you disrespect the flag, (and all the Soldiers who died for it to keep your freedom), on Sunday by kneeling, or standing during the national anthem.

If Kap had found a better way to make his point outside of the sport most people love, there would be no issue, but Kap found a way to make a political and continue to try and make himself relevent...it backfired, and he is out of football.

Delving into the political issues will get this thread moved to the PoFo rather quickly. My main point that there are people who have divisive politics in our current locker room (and yes, being a Trump supporter is in itself divisive because he is unlike any other politician in modern US history) and it does not appear to have much effect. Sure, they are all playing like crap, but its not because they hate each other. There aren't stories of people at their throat.

As for your second point, kneeling for the anthem was never meant as an attack or disrespect at the military, it was presented as such to distract from the actual point of the protest. In fact, he began kneeling because a vet told him that kneeling was a way of being respectful to the military. Previously he was just sitting down. He began kneeling after listening to the concerns of military/vets to show respect while still protesting.

Piggy socks and wearing the likeness of a brutal oppressor to an anti-oppression rally really didn't help either . And then of course there's the angry, accusatory, slanderous tweeting of Miko 2.1

Ding Ding Ding...you hit the nail even harder then I did...forgot about that.

Aside from him not being a good football player anymore we know one big reason he's not getting signed is his unpopularity. It's kind of funny though because Cutler is not exactly popular in Miami either.
