I know where I'll be on Sunday at 1... Watching these folks play!

Guaranteed to be a more exciting and entertaining competition...

This is the start of the end for me. If Thomas sees significant time, it's another step towards over Gase. And I really want to believe in him. This just isn't acceptable.

wow, cmon gase...matt moore might not be great but i think its clear who can operate the offense enough for it to be somewhat functional...this is just ridiculous, trotting cutler out there is a slap in the face to the fans, especially the ones who shell out their hard earned money to go to the games...

if cutler plays another down as a dolphin gase should be on the hot seat...there is no reason cutler should be playing at this point and if gase is too stupid to see it or too proud to admit it then he needs to be questioned when it comes to his decision making...playing cutler is an ego driven move because anyone can see cutler is terrible and while moore might not be a big upgrade at least matt moore gives the team a chance and gase doeant want to admit he pissed away 10 million on a career scrub with horrible mechanics who is afraid of any contact whatsoever.

It doesn't matter guys. We're not winning another game this season with either one. The O-line sucks. We don't have a real #1 RB or a real #1 TE. Our defense sucks with no pass rush and two very young corners that have produced ZERO turnovers all year. Our return guy is clueless by bring it out to about the 15 yards each time plus the holding call that comes with it. We had 17 penalties yesterday. A great QB can help a team but what we need is a magician at this point with this team.

Ozzy rules!!

I did NOT see this coming from Gase after last year. I thought, FINALLY we have a reasonable coach who will evaluate players based on talent and not get stuck on a specific guy they like. I thought Gase was a guy committed to working with our young players and developing them. He's FAR from that (e.g. Cutler, Thomas, Maualuga, Foster). This is ridiculous!

Upon first hearing, I'm ticked off. But now I'm just hoping coach speak, kind of like the Cardinals starting Blaine Gabbert until Drew Stanton is "fully healthy" when in actuality Stanton has been terrible every time he's taken the field for them. Again, allows him to save face by going back to his "starter" unquestioned depending on if Moore completely flops like he did against Baltimore.

We'll just have to wait and see. And I'll have to prepare to let the inlaws know I'm gonna see them this weekend if Cutler does start since I'm not gonna bother watching the game then.

There is no answer in 2017
Exactly. People need to accept this and stop pretending anything Gase does or doesn't do or whoever he starts or doesn't start makes any difference this year. He isn't getting fired, nor should he. It's a lost year. Accept it and move on. Gase's seat will be plenty hot if we're in this same position with a healthy Tannehill this time next year.

I’m not surprised Gase has said Cutler will start if healthy. Last time Cutler went down Moore came in and did well (188 yards 2 TD 1 INT), yet when he came in and started the next game he struggled (176 yards 0 TD 2 INT. So as good as he was on Sunday against the Bucs when he came in for Cutler, it is possible that Gase is hesitant at starting Moore because of what happened against Baltimore. There’s no doubt that Moore is a good backup, but is he a starter? Perhaps Gase doesn’t see him as one but for whatever reason sees Cutler as a starter. Who knows what goes through Gase’s mind when it comes to our QBs.

There is always one other consideration here. The team have put a lot of money on the table for Cutler to start for us, so perhaps the reason he’s the starter when healthy is because of that pay day we gave him to come out of retirement? It’s possible that Ross wants a return on the money :confused

A more cynical view is the front office want to keep Cutler because it gives the team the best chance of improving its draft position...

We could play with two QB's on Sunday and NE would still beat us anyway. When that NE defense looks at the tape they will be laughing looking at our starting O-line and their TE's will watch the tape and will wonder why the Dolphins LB's are never in the middle of the field when there's a pass coming. Moore nor Cutler will change anything when it comes to the outcome of this week's game

Ozzy rules!!
