What a healthy Tannehill would do this year?

Yawn. Where is the dislike button?
Good. Do it.
Because you have nothing to come back about these...
<<RT cannot make the line block better, protect better, eliminate stupid mistakes. RT cannot make Timmons play game one. RT cannot make JT run faster. RT cannot make OL coach stay clean. RT cannot make Manaluga reported to camp in shape and stop drinking in bar early in the morning.

Most importantly, RT cannot make the opposing defense stop stacking the box and shut down the running>>

Yet, all last season Tannehill's ability to attack downfield opened up the running lanes that Ajayi enjoyed. The games are being called well from an OC perspective...almost every play there are there are WR wide open, Cutler just has a fear of getting hit or misreads the play and it falls incomplete. You say that DCs have no respect for Tannehill, yet you provide no proof...like the hypothetical you propose, you seem to know what coaches in the NFL think.
I don't need prove. DCs will stack the box and force whoever dolphins qb to beat them. If you argue about this point, well you are fooling yourself, and just argue for argument sake.

Never trust any calculation that is based on hidden factors you can't see. Ever.

For instance, don't ever trust pseudo random number generation spit out by a computer.

No, I've been saying it's a bad stat since it was introduced. I have a 6 year post history on this site in which I've been saying the exact same thing, regardless of who the quarterback was. Whether it was Chad Henne, Matt Moore, Ryan Tannehill, or whoever we were playing against.

ESPN's Total QBR is a flat out joke.

And quite frankly, I was trying to be nice to you by not simply dismissing your post as outright garbage from the jump. Instead, I explained exactly why ESPN's total QBR is a bad foundation for an argument. That you immediately decided to attack me and my motivation for posting that, well, let's just say that it stinks in here and I hope somebody flushes it soon.

Say what you think about my post. If it is valid and have good points, I will consider. But don't hide behind some smart-a$$ line and pretend that is your reasoning.
I posted these questions, please answer....
<<Lets not make him into a Brady, Brees, Rogers, Wilson or even Sam Bradford. RT is no savior. Can he improve our record this year? may be, by one game if that. RT cannot make the line block better, protect better, eliminate stupid mistakes. RT cannot make Timmons play game one. RT cannot make JT run faster. RT cannot make OL coach stay clean. RT cannot make Manaluga reported to camp in shape and stop drinking in bar early in the morning.

Most importantly, RT cannot make the opposing defense stop stacking the box and shut down the running.

Wake up, Stop using RT not playing as an excuse. Do you really the RT is the top tier qb that when the run game is not working, put the offense on his shoulder and pass 350 yds to win the game?>>

I think Gase should get a 100% pass since I don’t expect any team to win a SB when their starting QB goes down. However when you go out and sign bums like a Cutler for 10 million and expect to win, then you deserve flack for that. That’s my major issue with Gase is the waste of 10m for a crap QB.

There are so many flaws in your statement that just pick out the most obvious one.
With RT under the center, the defensive coordinators will not change one bit in their game planning. It will still be 8-9 men box, stop the run and force RT to throw. If you think that is not true, then you are delusional.
News flash for you, RT has NOT earned the respect in the eyes of DC yet.

And you know this for a fact...how? Outside of your own speculation due to bias, of course.

I did make a valid post with good points. You chose to ignore it because it cut the legs out from under your argument. I can lead you to water, but I can't make you drink.
Ok, if you think espn qb rating is not accurate, then what stat do you rely on? Or only rely on 'eye test'? or how opposing DOs game plan against us?

I’ve been watching the way dcs gameplan against us all season

With Ajayi there it was 10 man boxes with him gone it’s been 2 deep

Nothing’s changed results wise

Ok, I like to know your unbias opinion. So you think the opposing DOs will game plan against RT first before worrying our running game?

I'm not mad at Gase for signing Cutler. He just lost his QB for the year, Cutler knew the offense and Gase was trying a Hail Mary to save the season. I was excited about the move! THE MOVE FAILED!!!!!!!!!!!!! CUTLER FAILED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT'S OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm mad because Gase keeps starting him long after it became clear that he was just killing the team. Ego driven lunacy.

To all of you;
My main point was RT is not a savior. we cannot give Gase a pass this season because RT went down.
OP is not about ripping RT.

I just told you. I think that if you want a numerical analysis of a quarterback's effectiveness, passer rating is a much better metric to go by than ESPN QBR. And for reasons that I already outlined.

A couple of years ago I looked at every quarterback season since 2004, and accounted for things like head coach, offensive coordinator, and how many years the quarterback had been with the team, to see what kind of statistical characteristics playoff quarterbacks had in common and whether or not certain coaches did a better job of getting them to play that way.

Not surprisingly, you know what I discovered? Nothing related to the quarterback is a better predictor of a playoff berth for a football team than the percentage of touchdowns and interceptions he throws. So, look at the touchdown rate and the interception rate, and then take the differential (i.e. subtract the interception rate from the touchdown rate) and surprise! You discover the single biggest concept behind what creates wins in the NFL: Putting the ball in the end zone and not coughing the ball up to the opposition.

(My other conclusion was that we should have hired Gary Kubiak when he was available, shortly before he got hired and won a Super Bowl in Denver.)
