Gase press conference 11/20

You realize we made Fitzpatrick, Newton, Flacco, and McCown look like HOFers. In case you didn't know Newton and Flacco have been horrible this year. Well, until they played us.

That is so true, mediocre qb's must be estatic when they play us...probably their happiest week of the season ..prepping for our game.

Haven't we heard the "execution" narrative all year?

Maybe the pupils have tuned out the teacher.

I was thinking about what we're told as media and fans. We should never expect a straightforward, honest answer to any issue with the team. Even if it makes the coaches sound clueless, poorly engaged, or repetitive, we're not going to receive a completely honest answer. Why? Because there are just some things you can't say as a football coach and maintain any respect over your team as well as maintaining competitive advantage. What's Gase to say? "Kiko Alonso has always had trouble in coverage so I didn't really expect anything better, and TannenGrier screwed me in the offseason by not providing an upgrade." Or he could say, "Yes, 17 penalties is a lot and we talked about it all week, but I didn't take punitive steps to clean up the penalties, maybe I'll try that."

Let's be real folks. We're never going to hear the truth. It's frustrating when we're losing, but no one cares about candor when you're winning.

His head is on the block cause he has no qb.

Elastic pretty much set him up to fail at qb

Same reason their season is done.

We are in the same boat with regards to the season

Maybe the pupils are all for themselves, and worrying about crap like touchdown celebrations, instead of blocking assignments and clean plays.

We know the Patriots are not going to rest Brady and Gronk. They will be looking to score 50 points. Boot on throat, they don’t do charity. I can’t imagine a scenario where Gase has been sandbagging in wait of this game. What we see is what we are.

Jason Garrett was out in Dallas until he got Dak. Look at all these great coaches and they all have QB's with them (maybe except for Andy Reid, he may be the best). Gase has had Ryan Tannehill and we ALL were accepting of giving that guy competition/replaced. Now he's got Cutler and Moore because RT's disastrous decision to put off surgery. That one selfish choice has caused the collective to turn on his coach/team/GM and associates/Owner. I bet Gase doesn't want Tannehill back because of this, is tanking the season to maybe get a good QB, maybe.

That's a flawed statement because it's only part of the story. Garrett was on his last chance until he got Dak AND Zeke to go with an all-round O-line. But as soon as they lost Zeke and their left tackle, Dak looked horrible.
