What a healthy Tannehill would do this year?

Good idea.
"Edit" button is gone, can't change. If you put it back, I will change.

As for your rely, "you haven't violated any site rules as of yet". Little off topic, delete if you want. It sounds like when a police makes a illegal traffic stop, when the driver ask what has he done. The police rely, "you haven't violated any as of yet"....but let me run your background.

There are so many flaws in your statement that just pick out the most obvious one.
With RT under the center, the defensive coordinators will not change one bit in their game planning. It will still be 8-9 men box, stop the run and force RT to throw. If you think that is not true, then you are delusional.
News flash for you, RT has NOT earned the respect in the eyes of DC yet.

Ryan Tannehill was the 12th rated QB last season, which puts him in the top half of the lea

When you go from the 12th rated QB in the NFL in 201 (https://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2016/passing.htm) to the 25th rated QB the following season (https://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2017/passing.htm), it obviously shows a drop-off in skill and results at the position. Whatever your agenda is, you keep pushing it as if it is fact. I get it, you don't like Tannehill. But what you fail to see is that he would have given the team a better opportunity at success this year. No one knows if that would have resulted in a better record this year but I choose to believe that it would have been better.

He finished with a differential of 1.8 after 13 games, which is OK. The most comparable players for him in that category last season were Jameis Winston, Russell Wilson, and Andy Dalton.

He threw a pretty good touchdown percentage, but his interception rate skyrocketed. He threw 7 in the first 5 games and then three in that Baltimore disaster.

Tom Brady led the league with a differential of 6, followed by Matt Ryan at 5.8 and Aaron Rodgers at 5.5. Brady and Rodgers have averaged 4.8 and 4.4 over their careers.

If you want to compare his performance last season -- in total -- to what other guys do on a year to year basis, the best comparison is actually Philip Rivers. High yards per attempt, strong touchdown percentage, too many interceptions.
Good. But as you said, we have to look at the whole picture. Per your rating, RT did improved, and I agreed. One of the factors that is lack in your equation is how strong is the running game for the team. Ajayi broke out certainly helped RT in any metric. Just my speculation, RT would have regressed this season without the help of strong running game.

I think it would definitely be better as well. I miss Ryan....

Why did the running game regress this season?

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

No, I like him. Better than Moore and Culter. He is a good game manager. Not elite qb. May be if he keep progressing, he will be.

The biggest difference between Philip Rivers and Ryan Tannehill is that most of Ryan’s interceptions weren’t his fault

Bad OL. Simple.
And other DOs had entire off season to figure out how to stop the run.

Because until now, defensive coordinators have been baffled by teams running the ball.

"What the hell are they doing, you can't simply just hand the ball to a player. This is madness!!!"

Wait you are telling me that there are 7 teams getting worse qb play than us? I find that hard to believe. I feel for those fan bases

Only justification I have for that 25th ranking with the play we’ve gotten is Adam Gase limiting the exposure

It sure feels and looks like bottom 5 worthy at best qb play thru 10 games

Plenty of game managers have had success in the NFL. In fact, a few have even won Super Bowls. A game manager right now would make improvements in this team and provide some consistency. If I am not mistaken, that would pretty much be the definition of a game manager.

I realize that this season has been a disaster and all of the flaws of this team have been magnified. I have been a fan of the team for more than 45 years and have seen my share of success and failures. I even have a Dolphins tattoo. Sure it has been a while since we have seen consistent success and I still hold out hope that the team will turn things around. I do not pin my happiness on a sport or a game. I see the Dolphins as a temporary escape on 16 Sundays of the year. Nothing more, nothing less.

Yes, we had trouble stopping the run last season and lately.
If you want to go way back, during the Marino years, we had trouble stopping the run for many years.
