They are as legit as the lack of penalties from other teams that are well disciplined guys with a desire to win and enough focus....this team is not good...for whatever reason...stop with the excuses and justifications..no offense but standing up for this team as a whole is concerning.....I am a DolFAN...but I can't stand this team as a whole...not sure exactly what's wrong but there has to be some changes made from top to bottom....

Well, I disagree. Yes, coaching is significant, but 100%? Umm, no. Lunis g up against Von Miller is one of a few factors.
Ok perhaps not 100% but the best coaches of all time always were among the least penalized teams in the league year after year - eg, Shula, Belickec, Parcells. I Support Gase but he has to clean this up. It’s too much every week.

I think we agree almost completely. By, for example, false starts are maddening. BUT, I understand a false start on a struggling LT facing Wake on 3rd and 12. I'd like to know how many of those pre-snap penalties were 'caused' by elite defenders

I’d flinch w Wake line up across from me :)

Shula once said, to evaluate a head coach is to look at the number of penalty, then the special team.
By Shula's metric, Gase failed big time.
