Dolphins linebackers vs. the pass? Not a fair fight

It's not that I disagree it's just that the team has so many needs. I do think Miami will part ways with Timmons, but Alonso will remain on the team.

It is possible that Miami gets a difference maker at linebacker in the first round, but that's not a position that the Dolphins have typically prioritized. More likely, I think

I feel the same way. Get a dominant defensive player, most likely some one who can rush the passer (DT, DE) in the first. I'd probably go OG in R2, but running back may be a higher value there. Depends a bit on free agency.

Yeah a couple people see I want an RB but agree we can wait and get better value.

Gronkowski will probably set a record for TE receiving yards in a game. Can you imagine if Alonso covered him all game long? He could have 25 catches for 500 yards.

Seriously...lol
Just watch what Atlanta did in the 1st 1/2 of SB and mimic that, it worked
Yes I will hate watching Brady throw 7 yard passes with our D playing soft allowing 15 yards after the catch.

And the sad part is we never change things
We keep repeating everything over and over
The NFL version of "Groundhog Day"

Bellichick will spend a grand total of 3 seconds game planning for our defense
"Throw the ball anywhere in the vicinity of Kiko Alonso"

There are very few players on the roster with upside but in this lost season, at this point, they should play: Anthony, Carroo, Harris, Allen, Gray, Fede and Smoith.

Just have TJ cover him all over the field. Better chance than Kiko will have

I dunno, I'd use our first pick for another DE if it were me and not OL. I think we have G and C options we need to look at on the roster. I'd add an FA or 2 and let them compete. Not popular I'm sure as the OLINE has been the biggest wart talked about on this site for years but pass pro has been decent over the last 3 weeks despite losses. Let's face it Cam Wake is getting old. If we roll into 2018 and our best pass rusher is 36 we're in trouble right from the get go. Andre Branch's pass rushing ability, or actually lack thereof, has been discussed here already. I say we need to draft another DE to pair up with Harris and hope the 2 can be feared pass rushers for years to come. We also need a physical RB. That's where I go in the first and 2nd rounds unless a can't miss prospect falls on our lap at some other position. We can't just discount the potential line of:

LT Tunsil - We're not giving up on him after 1 full season at LT. I just don't see it.
LG Davis
C Brendal
RG Asiata
RT James - I don't want to create a hole just because we feel he's overpaid.

Probably not a likely scenario for that line but bring in a few interior guys to compete. I just think we have no pass rushing or sledgehammer RB options here and need them. If we do bring in FA lineman we should study durability. May sound dumb but I feel our lineman drop like flies every year.

I like that line make-up, but swapping Davis and Asiata...

If they see Timmons as a 2 down backer going forward they will cut him instead of pay him that salary.

Concern I have however is unless Anthony shows well as a nickel tbese last 6 games they may bank on Raekwon in the nickel as the fix.

And range was his biggest weakness before the acl injury even

All I know for sure is that Kiko is struggling in coverage. He seems to be in position, but not reacting to the ball or finding the ball quickly enough. The real question is why he is struggling.

Evidently the staff thinks kikos struggles are a result of covering up for timmons.

I could see that for Mike Hull when he was out there but I can’t really see it for timmons.

Hopefully Anthony brendel and Maurice smith get some run the last quarter of the season
