I'm going to take a different opinion here: the play of Kenny Stills is actually what might have the most impact on Landry's contract situation, and that is probably not good for Jarvis Landry's future in Miami.
Although they are definitely two different players, Stills has proved to be far and away our best offensive weapon this season. He's improved his game tremendously and it shows up both on the game film and in the stat sheet.
I think that's definitely going to weigh on Landry's contract situation here.
Agreed, Stills has been a play maker for us in the past two seasons. Last year he had 9 TDs and 726 yards on 42 receptions. This year he's got 40 receptions, 588 yards and 5 TDs with some fairly inconsistent and shoddy quarterback play. If we get better quarterback play next season I don't see why Stills couldn't become a thousand yard receiver and perhaps he could grab 10 TDs if utilised in the right way. Drew Brees nearly made the guy a thousand yard receiver in his last year with the Saints and in some ways I was surprised to see them let him go.
