If Elway fires Vance Joseph, would you want him back as DC?

Nope. When you have the defensive players that the Broncos have, and they are playing like crap this year, why would you want their coach back here.

Miami has tried this mix-and-match style of bringing guys in for years, and it hasn't worked.

We truly need a completely new staff, a completely new front office, and a completely new attitude.

Looks like you're finally starting to see things my way.

Lol you must be joking. Target Todd Bowles HARD if the Jets fire him.

NO. I'm done with this wide 9 crappy defense that puts no one in position to make a play.

Get the band back together and re-hire Bill Lazor as OC, Vance Joseph as DC, Kevin Coyle as linebackers coach, Sparano as o-line coach, Cam Cameron as QB coach, Philbin as assistant head coach/offensive quality control, Dave Wannstedt as defensive line coach, etc...etc...

The defense came up big at big moments with Vance Joseph. I liked that about him, but I think Matt Burke deserves another year. He had the D going pretty well until recently.

Bowles as DC would be fantastic. And after that, let's get some tough mother****ers on defense. Raekwon would have been a much-needed physical presence in this D. I like the physicality of our safeties, but there's not much else in this defense to really get happy about

I wasn't so in love with the guy while he was here. I don't like the scheme very much. I also vote for a veteran DC with a track record of success in the NFL.

I don't see that happening. First of all, Vance Joseph has done a bunch of very good things in this league and will have no shortage of opportunities as a position coach. No reason to feel humiliated going back to the Dolphins with a demotion unless there were no other options, and he will have options.

Second, Burke has been doing more with less this year, so I doubt he gets demoted, and definitely not for VJ. I would think Burke would leave if we did that, and have a lot of hard feelings about it. Gase doesn't seem like the sort of guy who burns one friend to accommodate another. If Burke were to get fired it would be because Ross required it, and I don't see Ross doing that.

Third, VJ may get some sniffs as a DC. I doubt he will get an offer from Miami, but he just might get one somewhere else.

If VJ comes back, it would be as a position coach because he literally has zero other job prospects. None of that seems likely to me.
