Fins hire Studesville as running backs coach/run game coordinator

Stud is a good hire, I'm guessing the DL coach is too. He developed some good ones

I talked to my brother about Studesville. He was a teammate of Studesville's on Division 3 Wisconsin-Whitewaters Football Team in the 1980's. My brother knows him very well. They were friends and have other mutual friends. He said Eric should make a darn good coach for the Dolphins.

Since we're talking RB coach, what does anyone thinks of Hill? He's only 25

Impending free agent Jeremy Hill is fully expected to move on from the Bengals.

Beat writers Jim Owczarski and Paul Dehner put the chances of the Bengals re-signing Hill at one percent. It's a massive long shot. Hill needed ankle surgery in November, ending his season, but he's expected to be fully healthy sometime this month. Hill had a big rookie season and scored 29 touchdowns his first three seasons, but he's averaged just 3.6 YPC his last three seasons, spanning 482 carries. Hill is still just 25 but is just an early-down, goal-line bruiser.

I don't think Hill is the type of running back Gase likes. Hill has played in 54 games in his 4 year career and has only 67 receptions. I know the Bengals have Bernard as their pass catcher out of the backfield but Jeremy should still have more than 67 receptions for his career.

I think Gase would like a running back tandem where he doesn't have to change his playcalling too much based on personnel.
