Paul

He's not a reach he can come in and start in our system and I'm guessing you didn't watch senior bowl practices where he made more pancakes than IHOP
Here is one quote about him. Paul has intriguing tools, but he's a developmental prospect, making him a reach at this point in the draft!

Really LIKE this pick...

Yesterday, I said that I hoped we'd get one of Amegadjie, Sumataia, or Paul.

I might have gone with Sumataia, but I'll defer to the pros. Taking a pass blocking OT with oorangatan arms?

Yeah... that's the way to go. Hope he works out, but it was the right position to draft there.
Suamataia was my preference for a developmental OT

This is all that should matter.

Good for you but I listen to podcasters who know a little bit more about the draft.

Would it help if I told you that I not only wrote but also copy edited and podcasted with and for multiple people who have been quoted from Twitter tonight?

Or are you dead set on being a condescending jerk?

Kyle Crabbs hates the pick and that's who I trust the most! He also wasn't crazy about the Chop pick either!

What 2 picks would you have picked ? Just curious
ahh easy. i will stick with the first pick only because it is simpler.
i would have taken one of the CBs or WRs. not psyched about drafting at those positions either, but i think there were several CB and WR prospects available at #21 who were better prospects than Chop at edge, frankly by a fair bit too. ready to play and contribute now as well, also lower risk because they produced in college in addition to having the measurables.
i think if i remember correctly we could have had the first CB off the board - ergo the best CB in the draft, at 21. the eagles, who are very good drafters, took a CB at 22

So when ..and I say WHEN our LT Armstead gets injured he's going in? Our 2nd round LT that nobody has heard of that's as polished as sandpaper can plug in? Not happening really is it. 2nd round picks when you dont have many picks and your OL needs depth does not want words like 'project' banded about especially at Tackle.
Wish Paul well of course. Got my backing 100% but that pick was so unexpected its asking to be questioned imo.
